After going through many designs of mats the honeycomb is the only one that works.POSITIVE: Works for my three cats with clumping litter and hardwood floors better than any other design.NEGATIVE: Comes folded that takes a few days to loose the bends, has a 1" gap where there is no bottom layer where the opening is. So far neither have been a serious issue.OVERALL: Best bang for the buck. Works as advertised.

Our cat litter box is located in an unused closet within our office space. While this location is secluded and far from many other parts of the house, we would always find litter on the vinyl flooring around our place--sometimes, very far from the litter box. The litter box is located in a carpeted area and we were previously using a rubber mat to prevent cat litter from burying itself deep in the carpet. Long story short, the rubber mat we were using was clearly ineffective, so we turned elsewhere to this honeycomb-style mat.I cannot recommend this mat enough. The honeycomb style and dual-layered nature of the mat allows for collection of fine cat litter that would otherwise be tracked around the house by our cat. There are two layers to the mat-- one is the honeycomb layer and the other is a standard flat layer. This allows the litter is be collected in the recessed "combs" and not be further flicked around the room by the cat. Once the mat is filled, we are able to fold it into a "V" shape and dump the litter back into the cat's litter box, allowing us to reuse litter that would have been previously sucked up by a vacuum.This mat is highly absorbent and catches more litter than our previous rubber mat did; I would estimate that the mess in our closet has been reduced by 75% or more. We will now need to vacuum the closet once every two weeks, rather than the twice weekly amount that we were doing in the past. I would highly recommend this mat for any cat owner who struggles with a messy, litter-tracking feline friend.

This product works excellently. I have two litter boxes and there seemed to be no solution to litter getting all over the floor. I've had this a couple of days now and it's already caught all of the spare litter that the cats would have gotten all over the house. Definitely does the job and then some. Very happy with this purchase.

I have a cat that lives only in my room and the back hallway (that's the way she likes it) and she is the messiest kitty I've ever known. I'm talking about litter being everywhere. And I mean everywhere, I have never needed to vacuum my bed before her. Fed up with constant vacuuming and general ickiness I looked for a litter trapping mat. This mat is EXACTLY what I needed. No more tracking litter in my bed, I can walk barefoot in my bedroom (the suction cup sound from walking barefoot on the mat is hilarious). This is by far the best investment I've made in 2020. I just wish it were easier to dump the litter back in the box but you know what they say about practice makes perfect.

I have been looking for something like this for so long. We have two litter boxes in our hallway where are washing machine is. The litter mats we had in front of their boxes never got the litter off their feet. This mat is the perfect size for in front of a large litter box. Its has a nice foam cushion that even if you step on the map the litter does not get on your feet. It slips into those little holes just like it says. Easy to clean and keeps the area neat and tidy. After I bought one and tried it out I turned around and bought two more. This is a must have for in front of any litter box.

First off I have one messy cat. He throws liter everywhere. I have tried other mats and techniques but by far this mat is amazing!! Just as the previous reviews and the seller said it comes folded and has a pretty strong smell. No problem, I put it outside on a warm sunny day and the smell and creases from the fold went away. When I placed this outside of the liter box I was skeptical at first but I gave it a shot. Within a day of this mat no liter stuck to my feet as I walked by and I did not have to sweep up any cat liter around his liter box. When I dumped the liter it slid right out of the opening of the mat "sleeve". I also noticed that it catches all the sand my kids drag in from being outside (liter box located in laundry room), this would be great for a house with a lot of traffic and sand as well. I have also hosed it off and within 20 minutes it was dried off and ready to go back into the house. This mat was Purrfect (yes I just did that), and when I say perfect, does it catch every little piece of liter, of course not but for me it works great.

I got this mat to replace another one my cat tore up. She won't be able to destroy this one! The material is very sturdy. It does flatten out after you unwrap the packaging; I put a few heavy books on it for a couple days and it was fine. It catches all the litter my cat flings on it, and it doesn't look as messy as other mats. HOWEVER, cats are still going to fling litter *around* the mat area; they're messy little furballs, but we love them anyway. So yes, you will still need to sweep or vacuum up after your cat, but this mat will make their litter box area easier to keep clean and looking nice! I'm glad I bought it.

Honestly this product is great, but it was a little confusing to install. I couldn't get my cat's litter box into the envelope, it just didn't fit too well. I ended up putting the litterboxes on top of the mat and I guess that works fine too but honestly I think it needs some better instructions on how to set it up

Traps litter but pellet type litter gets stuck on top and can be difficult to remove.
