I bought the 7’1” MH Akatakas rod. I’ve fished twice with it so far. Most of my fishing was with a 3/8 oz flipping jig and I’ve caught about 20 bass on it so far.1. The MH power rating seems like it’s right on. I would say the tip is a little bit slower than my other 7’ jig rod. I’m actually good with that. It gives me a chance to feel the fish without the fish feeling me.2. Sensitivity is about on par for the price point. I have a couple of $200 rods that are far more sensitive and I have some $60 rods that don’t quite live up to this rod.3. The best part of this rod is the smaller blanks. By the 3rd blank the size is very small. This increased casting distance and made flips more effortless.With it’s length and power, it’s a pretty versatile rod. I like a jig on it. My brother threw a frog with it. Good vibrating jig rod. Overall, I’d call this rod a very good value.

My rod arrived today so since i;m off the ocean I gave it a fast try.This rod is strong,super light,and hauled in a 22 inch fighting BLUE.My KASTKING from Amazon is a perfect match for this beautiful rod..I was worried about the shipping because my UGLY STICKS came in a cardboard box.This rod came in a very hard shipping tube..I'm using 20 pound braid and the rod just feels like nothing is there when that line goes out.I like this rod because it will also work great on fresh water.BOB LECH

The moment I took this beautiful, affordable rod out of the tube, I knew I was in for a treat for inshore saltwater fishing. No disappointment, very sensitive tip, casts a mile paired with a Penn Battle II 2500 reel...first outing, nailed three speckled trout and did not miss a bite. Love this rod - it was purchased as a replacement after I broke the tip off a high dollar rod that I thought I loved...it’s over, high priced guys, this one does all the tricks for the price of an Ugly Stick.This rod is gorgeous - great components, super lightweight, it’s my go to rod going forward!

This rod is awesome. I went with the 7’1” MH casting rod in red and I’m very impressed with it. It is very evident that both the craftsmanship and materials are of high quality. I’m an avid bass fisherman, and both strength and sensitivity are important factors I consider when purchasing rods. Returned it because my Shimano spinning reel didn't fit in it. Meaning it the reel was too loose. So I went with Ugly Stik and never looked back.

I wanted to find a lower cost rod to compare to my more expensive ones. I got the spinning rod and really like the feel. Lightweight, strong, and well balanced. Time will tell how it holds up but my first impressions are great!

Better quality than I thought it would be since it’s so cheap, just needed a beater rod but the pole is too beautiful to beat up
