Jasmine JD36CE-NAT J-Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Natural

I'm an intermediate guitar player and need to upgrade my previous guitar, I was looking for something a bit cheaper, when I came across the Jasmine JD36CE. This guitar sounds beautiful! The hardware is also really high quality, I like that the tuners don't have any play in them and are very responsive, the built in tuner is very awesome as well.

I've played many guitars in the past 50yrs and it's been such a long time since I've picked one up that is this light weight and sounds so true. I have read some of the reviews that say it makes an excellent beginners guitar, well I say it's anything you want it to be. It has the same capabilities as any Takamine, Taylor....etc, for a lot less cash! I'm playing blues, classic rock and country with it and it has an even sweeter sound when plugged in to an Amp. You can't go wrong with this, it has no basic feel to it (other than it's very light weight) and very nice rich tone.

I originally bought a used Jasmine JO37CE, but Amazon Warehouse shipped me this instead. At first I was getting ready to begin the fight to exchange for the other guitar, but then I picked this guitar up and played it. WOW.For a guitar that is less than $200, I highly recommend this product. The guitar sounds FANTASTIC. It is easily better than any other $200 price range guitar I have played (Yamaha, Jasmine S35 and S34, Fender's, etc.). AND this one gives you extras like a cutaway body for reaching the high frets and the tuner/preamp. Setup was good right out of the box. Action was just a hair high, but not to where it is too noticeable while playing. There was NO buzzing at all and the neck is smooth and a complete joy to play.The guitar itself is gorgeous, and no picture can really do it justice. There were some imperfections on the neck where the finish was not as smooth looking as the rest of the instrument, but I had to scrutinize the instrument in order to find it. There were also some very small nicks on the instrument, but I did buy this used, and am not putting blame on Jasmine for that.Overall, I am highly satisfied with my purchase. While Jasmine has some cheaper options than this model, I highly recommend spending the extra money for better quality. You are still paying hundreds of dollars lower than this thing is really worth and it blows the S34 and S35 out of the water.

Got the guitar completely damaged!!!!! massive crack on the body of the guitar and a broken tuner knob....

This guitar came well packaged and was playable right out of the box. It has a decent acoustic sound and also sounds great through an amplifier. I have already used it on a recording and it has a rich robust sound on playback. The action was a little bit high for my liking (but not a playability problem) and the strings were heavier than I am used to but, I will change them out to a lighter gauge later on. I will also check the truss rod adjustment to flatten the neck a bit to my taste. Want a decent guitar for the money? Buy this one . . .

It's a nice instrument, easy to tune and very nice to handle. The sound is excellent.However, the attached electric pick-up is not working. It would not even switch on. I was hoping to connect it to my stereo to record some pieces.

The neck width is ideal for the size of my hand, allowing for quicker playing. Great tone.
