Pennington UltraGreen Starter Lawn Fertilizer, 14 LBS, Covers 5000 sq ft

I wanted a good fertilizer for new sod and came across this product after researching on Amazon. I waited 4 weeks for my new sod to take root before applying. I am impressed with how fast it worked on the grass. This is great for newly laid sod. It is slow release and is said to be providing the lawn nutrients for the next 3 months. I’m really pleased with the beautiful green and how full the grass is becoming after just 2 weeks!

Even after heat stressed grass, the grass nutrients still there. Applied a month before heat wave. Once high climate heat wave broke, the grass was able to recover and still look great again. Highly recommended

I bought a property in a nice neighborhood but the residents aren't into lawn care. I've spent time and money to get the soil PH balanced and reseeded with Kentucky Blue Grass. Luckily 2021 Fall weather cooperated fully even supply some rain so I didn't have to water each day.The original seed I used, Barenbrug, wasn't germinating so I seeded a second time after several weeks with Scotts Kentucky Blue Grass Seed. This seemed slow to germinate also, I had some isolated spots scraped out with fresh top soil and moss so I could get a good sampling on how the seed was doing.I prepared the entire lawn by dethatching and scarifying, cut the lawn very low, used Tenacity to kill any weeds, seeded, added Sphagnum Moss. With both seedings I used Pennington Ultra Green Starter Fertilizer and the end result was a thick, deep green, plush lawn. My wife says it looks like a carpet. I may have over done the fertilizing but I have no argument with the outstanding results.NPK is 22-23-4 with added 5% Iron. BOOM!! I applied the product with a Scotts Wizz hand-held spreader which worked well. Some have said their lawn was burned from the fertilizer, I contend the person used the wrong setting or had overspill. I had zero burning with those two applications, only great results. Time, money, sweat equity, outstanding results.

I bought some and then bought some more.It didn’t grow great in the shade it didn’t grow great in the sun.It was a hot 2 weeks in Cali after I planted em .100 degrees.Then it cooled down and I planted some more .I planted ALOT more .Wheres the beef ?

Added some seed for my spring lawn rehab and decided to use this starter fertilizer to help it. My existing grass took off with spring growth. Deep green color and grew quickly. My neighbors lawn was no where near as vibrant and mine even though they are the same grass and connected to one another. You could clearly see a difference. This fertilizer was the only thing done differently.
