Over the Fence (The Neighbors Series)

I waited months for what I thought would be the conclusion to one house over only to read a book that seemed to repeat the same chapters over and over. Although it was good seeing the other point of view from Milton and Yvonne, this entire book was just about how scheming and conniving they are over, and over, and over. No one had any real consequences, including Odell and Joyce. I will not be continuing this series. Disappointed that I read the entire book in days because i was excited to see what would happen for it just to be a repeat of swindling Odell, bootlegging, lying, and stealing.

This book is fluff. It's meant to string the reader along to purchase a 3rd installment. I'm so over writers doing this to loyal readers.

This is a rip off. After years of enjoying this author, I don’t think I can support anymore. This isn’t a series of books. This is one book chopped into 10 dollar pieces. So now I can pay 30 or 40 dollars for one story. And I thought the characters in the book were con artists!

for over two hundred pages the Milton and Yvonne droned on and on about Odell and Joyce's condescending remarks . . . and that's it!

Disappointing. I wish I would have waited for the reviews before purchasing. I was excited to see Odell get exposed but that never happens. I dislike how weak Odell is portrayed, how arrogant Joyce is, and how deceitful both Milton and Yvonne are. I rushed to finish the book b/c I grew tired of the same old pattern of blackmail, siddity neighbors, stealing, bootlegging, hypocrisy and back again. There was no conclusion andI'm unsure if I'll read the next book in this series. If I do I definitely won't preorder nor pay full price for it.

I really enjoyed the first book, however this book was very disappointing. It just kept going in circles and I became annoyed and felt pressured to finish it because I was hoping it would actually evolve into a good story. It finally did...at the end.Im not sure if ill read the next one. Ive read all of her books and have never felt this let down!

I love me some Mary Monroe, but am getting frustrated with the way her books end with unanswered questions, and having to wait for the next installment. I read a lot more books between the installment and have to refresh my memory with her characters. If you are going to do a series of books, at least release the new one within 2-3 months. Sheesh!

Book was awesome - I just pray there is a third installment because there are way too many unanswered questions! however, I loved the journey this book took me on and I felt like I knew and cared about the characters. The only drawback was that ending. Thanks for the Reading Guide - my book club truly appreciates it!

Waited a little while to read this instalment, and although I wasn't disappointed it wasn't what I thought it would be. This book gave you the background to two of the characters in the series and overlapped from #1 which was annoying .but having said that I did enjoy it. Looking forward to Part 3
