EveShine Premium Big Frame Competition Swim Goggles

They've re-invented the swim goggle. And the results are fantastic!!!!!
As a former Navy Scuba Diver, the ability to have a clear field fo view is one of the most important things when entering the water. I have always had issues using the traditional swim goggles which surround only the eye socket. It always left me with the feeling of my eyes being sucked out. And as most swimmers will tell you, if you're distracted you can't swim properly. Sh, short of using a full scuba mask, my options were limited. I found these and thought 'd give them a shot. Boy was I surprised of the difference these made. They seal just under the orbital socket and above the eyebrow which leaves me with a wide field of view and comfortable feeling. My wife who swam competitively most of her life became a convert one day when she left her traditional goggles at home. The next day, I had to order a set for her and we have been satisfied ever since.

Absolutely fantastic!
I have struggled with regular goggles for years tried to find a pair that fits me. No luck. They always leak. Guess I have a very unusual face. Would be the first time I heard that rofl.Anyway, the seal on this mask is amazing. It absolutely does not leak. I've been following the manufacturer's directions for cleaning yet, and after nearly a month it isn't fogging up. XD

Amazing goggles.
These swim goggles are simply amazing.First off, they are by far the easiest goggles to put on, with the clip behind your head. Also easy to undo.Secondly, the fit is by far the best I've ever tried. They fit very snuggly yet do not create such a vacuum as to sucking my eyeballs out. They do not let a single drop of water in.Thirdly, they come in a nice, albeit somewhat flimsy, container, that will keep them safe in your gym bag (unless you rough it up of course). Finally, the tinting is very nice, keeping all bright lights out.

I would argue on the definition of "clear" lenses. More like "underwater sunglasses".
I was looking for a pair of CLEAR goggles to use at NIGHT, and foolishly did not study the pictures in full-zoom mode. On the planet I live on, "clear" means "clear", not mirror-tinted and darkened..That being said, these seem to be ok goggles. They look to be held on primarily via suction rather than by the strap, so expect to be adjusting them often to keep the suction in force. Also don't try to pull these off as it would like taking a plunger to your eyes (ouch!). They leak a little around my right eye, so I guess I will need to either keep adjusting it more or try to have a Robot Face when I use these as facial movements will weaken the suction faster. Of Interest is that the little slip of paper included with the goggles says (verbatim): "In very case, lengthy use of the goggles may cause uncomfortable. If this happen, you should stop using the goggles." No idea if that comes from the suction, the lenses, or both, but there it is. I will now try to locate a pair of CLEAR "clear" goggles and see how my luck goes.....aha.. In the first picture the image of the left lens LOOKS like you are seeing through it (aka: clear) but in fact it is merely a reflection. The second picture also looks "clear", but this must be a trick of the light and similar background color. The third picture shows a different view where the lighting angle makes the left lens appear almost black. So if one (cough.. me.. cough) bothers to check ALL the pictures, it is obvious that these aren't "clear". My bad for not paying more attention before purchasing.UPDATE: Spoke with an Amazon rep, and I was issued full credit for the item (thanks!). It would appear that I don't even have to return the item, but keeping it would be asking for trouble. Sending the item back on Monday, and have ordered other goggles that do indeed have a CLEAR lens. Also read a bit more that makes me a little apprehensive, as seems depending on the "shape of one's face" the average swim-wear item may-or-may-not fit. Great for one person's type of face, not so for someone else. One person even said to Loosen The Straps so it leaks less. (?) Actually bought two items - a pair of goggles and one that is more like an undersized mask. Hopefully one/both will work, but they both run $20-$25 each as opposed to this one's $13.00.

Won't Seal-Out Water Completely - for me!
I had to buy these for use in my shower, following lasik eye surgery. Try as I might, I simply could not get them to seal out water completely. I tried everything. They look cool! But not sure how effective they are. I may be in the minority on this, but I feel I must report my experience.

Not for competitive swsimmers
Lens is NOT clear, it has a mirrored, green tinted sun screen film on it; this is not appropriate for indoor swimming. It had fogged by 200 yards of swimming in an 83 degree indoor pool. Field of vision is diminished by the design to the point of making it difficult to judge flip (racing) turns, and obviating the view of your competition in an adjacent lane or your companion in a shared training lane. It is very comfortable on your face and did not leak. I have 67 years of competitive swimming experience and would not judge this goggle appropriate for a competitive swimmer.

They did not fit my face.
I read the reviews before buying and these goggles had very good reviews, so I bought them. I am sure they work as designed for most people, but my head must be shaped a little differently than most people, because these goggles did not really fit my face very well. They were tight around the nose, and loose at the temples. So I think my head must be more rounded than these goggles are made for.As to the straps, these are unusual in that they clip together behind your head. Some people seem to like that, but for me, they are difficult to line up and snap behind my head. I am totally fine with the way most goggles are, where you just pull them over your head.

ENJOYED A GOOD FIRST SWIM WITH THESE GOGGLES!
I lap swim for 1 hour in the morning at least 10 times per month. I purchased these goggles as backup to my regular (Leader goggles which I've used for years but discontinued by Amazon so I ordered the EveShine due to positive reviews). I used them for the first time this morning and enjoyed a good swim. Towards the end of my hour, I noted a bit of water infiltration but not enough to make me stop. They were still very comfortable after my hour swim. I will keep them as backup but when my Leader goggles finally fail - I suspect they will become my primary swim goggles.
