I should have listened to the negative reviews instead of hoping I’d be one of the few who got a “good” batch. I got one of each animal, just like in the picture. They came in a mailing envelope, each in their own packaging (like for individual sale & hanging on a small metal bar at a store) but the packages were all taped together — extremely, crazy tight. I had a hard time getting them out of the tape with my kitchen scissors & ended up cutting them out of their packages (which just ruined their ability to be given as gifts).I especially wanted the cat, but that one arrive broken, possibly due to being taped so tightly; like the tape was pulled so tight around it that it was warped out of shape & one of the ears was almost bent off. When I finally got it out, the tape would not extend out & pulling it made it feel like it was going to rip; then whatever came out would not go back in bc the button was also broken. Upon trying to fix it, the key ring fell out & the face cracked open. So now it works — but only as a plain self-rolling piece of measuring tape.The ear on the frog was kinked up. When fixing that one I realized the tape was kinking up the ear — straightening the tape made the ear backwards. It worked like that, for a short time. Now either the button gets stuck & the tape won’t go back in, or the tape won’t come out in the first place.The other 2 broke when I ripped the tape off, bc they had come out of their packages & were covered directly by the tape. It was super thick, super strong, clear packing tape. If nothing else, the tape that they used is top notch — I bet it could hold car pieces, furniture, maybe even body parts, together.I wanted to use these for my knitting, to measure my kids sizes & my knitting/gauge swatches, as well as items where the pattern calls for knitting to a specified width/length. So I haven’t even needed to pull it out past 20” & only used it a handful of times.My sister is a seamstress & our best friend works in retail. I thought these keychain measuring tapes would be perfect (for being cute AND functional) in their gift baskets. I haven’t been able to check the accuracy of the measurements, since I bought these also bc I didn’t currently have any other measuring devices (my daughter took all my rulers for her art class; my son is fascinated by, & so always takes, my measuring tapes — they both lose stuff so I never see them again). I’m a little jealous of the people who got good, working products. But, after all the trouble I’ve had with these I would have been so embarrassed to give them as part of a gift; who wants to give someone something that doesn’t even work? It’s like the biggest let down ever: “oooh, gifts!!” .... “awww, it’s broken.”I don’t know if they’re returnable, but I think that would just be more of a hassle, esp during the heat of a humid as heck east coast summer. Rather just keep it as a $10 lesson learned.

These are cute and are helpful to keep kiddos sit still when being measured as i am a pediatric nurse,but one fell off and it broke into pieces easily.Not good quality.

Bought for gifts, I use a couple in my craft bags. They are cute, functional and the people I gifted them to were thrilled with them

Koala was broken but after a little super glue it was fine. The packaging was intense and it required more muscle strength than I had used in months but eventually I got it open and now have the cutest measuring tapes ever!

They were bigger than I thouhgt

My 3 yr old grandson loves tools so we have to watch him because he "collects" whatever he can find and hides them. I lost a measuring tape that way recently so I found these and ordered them for him and his 6 yr old brother. When I handed it to him and told him to pull the ear he was thrilled when the measuring tape slid out. Then with a press of the button, it popped back in.His second love is his key collection, he hoards those too, so he was very happy to see a key ring on his measuring tape. He couldn't wait to show his brother. My only disappointment was I got 4 pink pig measuring tapes. It would have been better to get at least 2 different kinds. The boys don't seem to care though.

Used 3 or 4 times and locking/retractable feature broke. Button stuck in and now won't click into place. Cute but cheaply made.

Ordered this product because I work with pediatrics and wanted something cute and fun, but it does not full retract. Cute, byr would not but again.
