Once activated, it gets hot and it stays hot for at least half an hour
I love this product above all others similar to it. It heats well and quickly. The larger pieces hold their heat for about an hour. The smaller ones don’t last long but they are great while I wait for my used ones to boil and reset. I have used it for years to relieve back pain, neck pain, knee pain, and just to relax or to warm the sheets before crawling into a cold bed.The only con is that with repeated use over time, they will spring a leak. It is not a problem if it gets on anything you can wash, but if it gets on your couch, mattress or pillow, the spot will feel stiff unless you can wash it enough with a wet cloth. It also leaves a blue color, that will come out in the wash if you can put it in there, but that’s not always possible. So it’s best to lay down a waterproof mat first, like a baby’s lap pad or cloth changing pad. Despite the possibility of leakage after it gets old, I still buy replacements. There is nothing that can match it for the job it does.

Buy these if you ever need heat
Saw a similar product at a boat show where they were selling this set for $300. Happy I found these on Amazon at a much better price. They work very well and are completely reusable. My always has cold hands and these fix that quickly, plus the larger packs allow her to get relief from sore muscles. EXCELLENT Product!

1st Use Amazing...after that mixed feelings
The product upon opening it is a dream come true, bend the disc and it gets warm and holds heat for an hour and converts to a solid.Reuse is the issue. You need to boil it to kake it a liquid again so in a stove pot with boiling water. It says if you don't do it long enough then the product will convert back to ansolid which I experienced. The smaller packs boil within a few minutes and can boil in a few minutes. The larger ones can take 40 minutes or more. The short - it is hard to tell if you have fully boiled it and seems for the larger packs you get 1 hour of heat but then need an hour of boiling to get it back for larger ones. A lot of work to make it reusable for the large. On the flip side these get cold more more quickly than the other gel packs I have tried so for cold I really do like these a lot compared to the competition. I have mixed feelings about these. At the same time I haven't found a dual ice or hot pack I love so these still rank #1 in my household however for the smaller packs, the larger ones are pain on the reheating.

Fiasco item!
I got it two days ago and was disappointed. Not all the pieces get hot and the only one which warmed up was too hot to place it on my skin. I am returning it with UPS when I see the truck coming in our complex. The box is too heavy for me to take it to the store and I do not drive. Waste of time! I won't recommend it and won't call 'clik clak'. No clik no clak! After second thought I requested Amazon a pick up since it was impossible to sit outside my place and wait for the truck to pass by. Now that the snowbirds are back, the truck does not come daily. Amazon will pay for that one time service since I do not drive, the store close to me does not open on Saturdays and the package is too heavy for me to carry it after a back surgery. That return took hours to be accomplished between Amazon and UPS. Amazon kept saying that the pick up was scheduled and when I called UPS nothing was scheduled. Better you go to the store and return it.Also you have to find a big pot to heat water in order to dissolve the gel into liquid form and save it for the next use. If you need to do this daily to heal, forget it. I will use my electric Walgreens pad regulating to the heat level I wish and later disconnect it without going through huge pot and hot water.

Not the best reusable heat packs
I have had smaller heat packs where you push the metal tab once to start the process. I have used the two larger pads. Both times I had to push the metal tab three times to start the heating process. That's NOT how it's supposed to work. The pad works well after that. I don't think it's lasts an hour though. Because of the size you need to use a large pot to submerge the pad in the water, and wait for it to dissolve to fully soft state. I would not buy this again.

Portable, lightweight, no electricity need hot/cold pads
This CLIK CLAK hot/cold heating pads, despite of some bad reviews and complains, in my opinion they are great, if you want to use them on the go.This set of pad is portable, I have another one like this and that is why I bought the bigger set with a pad almost for every single part of the body. These I bought for my aunt. So that way she can put them inside of her purse and take to work. They are easy to use just clik and go, ready in a few seconds. She loves how convenient and easy to use are, no need for electric cords or batteries, to use, she takes two, even though she has to boil the pads for 15 to 20 minutes, she love the.Below are the instructions on how to reuse pads:Wrap the heat pad in a cloth (to prevent it from melting).Boil a pot of water large enough for the pad.Boil the heat pack in the water for approx 20 min. (until all crystals are liquid).Remove the pad from the water and allow it to cool. The pad is now ready for use.Specifications:One heat pad Shoulder, Back and 4 small Heat PacksHeats up to 130°F / 53°CRetains heat up to 1 hoursOverall great portable, lightweight set of heat or cold pads, highly recommended.
