GGSN Thumb Throttle Speed Control for Electric Scooter Pocket Bike Electric Bike EBike

I was looking to clean up the 'cockpit' of my recumbent trike which consisted of replacing twist grip shifters with bar end shifters and an electric assist twist half grip throttle with a thumb throttle mounted off one of the Microshift Bar End shifters. This was just the ticket, I mounted it more like a trigger and now I can control throttle while shifting without taking hand off grips and losing access to brakes. The stock twist throttle was bulky, had a key and a voltage display but moved around and was umm... obvious. This makes the electric assist rather stealth. Only issue I ran into was that the 3 pin JST connector had the two outside pins wired opposite of the diagram. Good thing I've used JST connectors before, just wasted a few minutes diagnosing the issue and repinning it.

My Ecotric Tornado full suspension ebike came with everything you could ask for... except a throttle. It was pedal assist only. A throttle comes in really handy when you're starting out on a hill, want a very smooth takeoff, or you're just feeling downright lazy. Plug-in didn't match but if you cut all the plug-ins off it's a simple matter of splicing the wires together and programming one setting on the LED display/controller. Easy and it works great!

This is essentially a potentiometer. I hooked it up to an Arduino for use in a homemade go-cart. Feels solid, and gets a nice crisp reading on the Arduino. Just what I needed!

Worked like a charm, took me 15 mins to install but saved me way more money getting it fixed in at a workshop.
