Impressive Crisp Sound Quality
The media could not be loaded. One of the first things I noticed was the clean, crisp quality of the sound. The sound is further enhanced by the dedicated bass on one side.I now use this with my phone just as a way of conserving my battery when watching video clips etc.Reluctant to test the water (submersive) resistance as I don't think the flap for the port is reassuringly firmmy in place. Nice to know though that when working outside or near the pool it will at least be reassuringly splash proof. In all I'm very happy with the sound and it's a definitely good value for money. They could improve on simple features such as battery level indicator on the device and I'm still yet to understand fully what the 'M' button does other than mode. But otherwise very happy with the battery life, Bluetooth range and above all sound quality.

Wow!
All cheap Bluetooth speakers are the same, right?! Wrong.I only bought this one because my previous one was rubbish for phone calls. This one is great for that. Music sounds way better and louder as well, with almost no distortion even at max. It looks and feels way better than I expected at this price. BT range is better too. Not sure that will be the case if your phone doesn't have BT 5. To top up an already fantastic deal, I've stumbled upon a feature that's not mentioned in the description on Amazon or in the instruction booklet: pressing the power button for 2 seconds wakes up the assistant on my android. It should work on iPhone or Windows to I suppose. The mic must be very good cause it seems to understand much better than through my headphones what I'm asking. Now I have what I dreamt for for so long: A portable hands free system, with decent sound, unlike the sun visor type gadgets. It also has USB C charging and the rubber flap that covers the ports is well designed. Definitely one of my best purchases.

Read an honest, informative, user experience review.
Hello, I've purchased this particular speaker mainly for use in all weather conditions and for listening to in my bathroom. I've put it through some quite specific testing to see how well it would hold up. I've written this review to share the results and also some useful observations not mentioned in the user guide. The Boost speaker feels weighty, solid and compact. It's coated in a soft-touch material making it feel comfortable and tactile to both hold and use giving a good grip.A very strong integrated small metal handle on the side can be opened outwards where it can be carried around by this or hooked up onto things outdoors or elsewhere. The rubber cap covering the ports; for a micro SD card, an Aux and a USB C for charging it, fits snugly together and forms a good watertight seal. This speaker's function keys are quite large laying across the top and intuitive, but reading the included short user guide gives any additional information to comprehensively operate it. The buttons do require a little pressure to push them and a click can be felt each time they are pressed, so of course this also means they can't accidentally be activated whilst carrying or just holding the speaker, which I find reassuring and definitely preferable. It shipped with a partial charge and paired easily with a nice powerful audible notification (reassuringly not a voice) when the connection is made. Listening to it for the very first time, I was immediately hit by the stunning sound it produced which I found to be rich, deep and full bodied with the lows, mids and highs all clearly audible. The sound REALLY was quite surprising.I found It can play incredibly quietly and equally very loudly with keen incremental control accomplished by the volume keys coupled with notification sounds indicating when both the maximum and minimum volume levels have been reached. With the function keys being 3D listening to it at night in a darkened room, I was easily able to operate the speaker by touch alone, with the LED lights for guidance, if needed. The small blue LED light does blink continually during normal operation regardless of source, i.e. bluetooth, Aux or Micro SD, but this is usually always the case with any bluetooth speaker.Connecting to a Computer with the supplied charging cable, not only did it begin to charge, but you can also play music simultaneously. The USB C port means you can connect the Boost without even looking at the Cable's orientation, so you never need to worry about placing the charging cable the wrong way around and it just makes it quicker and worry free. The four small rubberised feet, combined with the weight of the Boost, works very well to effectively keep it stationary during use, even at it's highest 20 watts of playing volume.Using the supplied Aux cable connected to the TV, it played very clearly and with a much fuller richer stronger sound than the TV's own integrated speakers. The form factor means it can be placed very easily behind, in-front of or alongside any table-mounted TV.Testing the Answerphone function, it worked smoothly with my Caller able to hear me clearly and vice versa plus hitting the play button twice means you could re-dial the last number your phone had called without needing to be anywhere near it.Testing it during movie playback on my mobile phone I've experienced no lagging with the audio speech, as can sometimes be known to happen.I've tested it to see if it would handle playing folders and different file types such as flac from my music collection, it cycled through all types and several folders without any difficulties and all whilst playing in the very steamy humid atmosphere of my bathroom, the IPX7 rating giving me the confidence to do this without worry of any water/steam damage to the speaker. As yet, I've not needed to charge it since purchase with it still working on the same partial charge it shipped with, and I've taken it through all the above testing scenarios several times.I've experienced no distortions in sound production, and when powered off and then on again, the speaker resumes playing at a mid volume level regardless of if it was at the highest or lowest volume level when it was switched off. This has proven to be very useful.Overall, after testing and living with it a while, I am satisfied with the Boosts features, it's performance, the really great battery life and it's fully immersive rich audio sound production. The speakers' TWS function affords me the option to expand the sound capability in future by linking two Boost's together doubling the output (up-to 40 watts) whilst creating a True Wireless Stereo sound stage/experience. It's not something I've done yet but maybe perhaps some time in the future.Click the helpful button if you've found this useful.

Plays from micro sd card
I was looking for a music playing that would play from a micro sd card for my Mum who is in a care home with dementia, her existing cd playing wasn't much good as most of her cd's went missing plus it relied on staff to turn it back on once a cd had finished. This playing is brilliant, I was able to add hours and hours of music and providing it is plugged in to the mains (had to by a plug for the usb cable it comes with) it plays on a loop. The only negatives are you can't select which songs to play, it just starts from where it left off last time it was used and the buttons could be a bit more user friendly. The sound quality is fine, definitely better than her old cd player, it also has a useful metal pull-out loop at one end so it could be attached to something or secured with a metal security cable to stop it from going missing like the cd's! I've not tested the battery life so can't comment on that and didn't test it for water resistance. I would recommend it though, seems well built and I had no problems with it.

Leaves red marks on furniture
Sound is good. I don't like the rubber on top. Seems to easily gather dust and not easy to clean. I left the product to charge on my bedside table and it left red marks from the four cushions underneath the speaker. I have tried everything to remove it - even bleach! The table is made from wood with polish on top. Just be aware. I put extra cushions underneath to cover the old ones. So one good speaker and one ruined piece of furniture.

Battery life falls short!
I bought this speaker to replace a very good Zenbre product which I unfortunately broke by accident, and which no longer appears available to buy anymore. So I've bought this one and it sounds fine, it's easy to set up and operate, but it has one huge flaw - the battery keeps dying after about 6 hours, which falls way short of the 20 hour promise in the heading. I often leave the speaker to charge overnight, so by morning it should be fully charged, but no - by 3pm, at work where I use the speaker, it dies - regularly. My first Zenbre product worked perfectly and I would have been happy to buy another if it was still available - this speaker is a let down and makes me question how good Zenbre products actually are...
