So far the melodies have been doable for this absolute beginner. I love the timeless nature of the selections. CD helps if you have never heard them before. Thanks Maestro Wallach! Woodie Guthrie would be proud of your contribution to musical education.

I am a neophyte guitarist and I am getting close on several of the songs. Perseverance and practice is the key. I fell prey to the "Easy" in the title, I am having fun but nothing has come easy for me with the guitar. Practice, practice, practice.

I bought the songbook for my nephew who loves to play guitar. He liked the book.

I like the selection of songs, as well as that it show the fret numbers on the tablature . The print is large and clear. I quickly learned to read and play from the sheet music. I recommend this for a beginner. It could be improved, though, if there were a spiral-bound option.
