Shoulder Saver Hanger

Owned a few of these. For the price I'd expect better.A couple of them have ripped the nut and hanger part thru the plastic.We hang dry suits on them for the majority of its use but have hung some 7mm wetsuits.It could use a little extra material right where the metal hanger part goes thru the plastic.

I purchased two of these to hang my 7mm Wetsuits for SCUBA diving in cold water. The hanger I had them hanging on before was far too narrow and was causing the shoulders to stretch over time. Unfortunately, the damage has been done to the expensive wet suits, but I wanted to prevent further damage.When I got these, I was impressed at the quality of the plastic. They do a nice job of forming the suits out so that they not only dry faster, but the shoulders do not stretch. They provide a natural curve to distribute the weight of the suit evenly across the shoulders. They are sturdy and seem like they will hold up over time. Good product to solve a constant problem with wet suits. Highly recommended to any SCUBA diver.

It's ideal for wet suits, which have the disadvantage of weakness in the shoulders. The wide hangers go a long way to prevent ripping and degradation of the rubber. Great for long term storage. I gave the product a 4 star only because the rail hook was somewhat difficult to attach. You need someone with small fingers to start the threading of the nut.

I use these for motorcycle outwear and they work great. Armored exterior protective clothing like BMW enduro-class have shoulder pads and body armor built into the lining. They are heavy, and very wide across the yoke, and they require something much larger than a regular coat hanger. I have 24 inch wide shoulders to begin with and have to wear 48"-50" chest-size outer-wear gear if I also include the Forcefield Armor compression body suits I wear for GS and track. That's allot of thick armor so the outwear needs to be large to accommodate the extra inches of padding and back protectors. I have custom Taichi one-piece, amored leathers for sport bike track and these hangers hold without any problems. Expensive, but worth it.

For drying, It is in futilely better than a standard hanger and a little better than a generally nice and thick suit coat hanger. The pleasant surprise for me was the added benefit to washing. I hose down my suit, and it being so completely propped open on the hanger makes sticking the hose down the neck and ringing the inside really easy.I am sure it's extending the life of my wetsuit.

This hanger would fit an item used by a large man. I am size xs and my wet suit is much too small to hang on this hanger.

Good value

I bought these for my sister and brother-in-law, who are avid surfers. I myself can see the difference it makes to the wet suits. It opens them up making it easier to dry and distributes the weight of the suit, truly saving the shoulder seams. They love these and even bought some for their surfing friends.
