The Biggest Burp Ever: Funny Poems for Kids (Kenn Nesbitt's Hilarious Children's Poems)

This book was brought up in my Grandsons lessons today. He's working on poems. We decided to see if we could find the book! Both boys enjoyed reading the poems, and it was wonderful to be able to tie it to what he was learning.

I love the sketches that go along with each poem.

My granddaughter attended a presentation by the author and asked for one of his books for Christmas.

My daughter insists we read Ken Nesbitt every night before bed. His clever use of rhyming poems has her laughing up until the point we turn out the lights. He has a special gift for creating interesting scenes and vivid depictions of some of the most absurd juxtapositions from his imagination. This is a great book for children just learning to appreciate puns and double meanings.

Not our favorite. I thought the kids would love it, but it isn’t one they ever pick... a few too many pop culture references for us.

My students love to read these aloud

Great gift for our 7 year old. She thought it was hilarious and we were glad to see her love of reading extend to poetry. Some of the humor is a bit crude, but nothing concerning.

Why are the pictures not in color?! :(

A little dissapointing for although there was obviously humour in this book, if somewhat in poor taste, there was not much to encourage any youngster to extend their pursuit and love of poetry.

Great book, lot of fun for my 8 years old. He even choosed the Minecraft poem for a school compatition. These poems are really for the current kids.

This book was a great book that we greatly enjoyed reading together. I liked the poems- they were hysterically funny. I would recommend it to children who like humour and video games!

A good collection of funny poems. Children will like them and each have their own favourites.
