Costa Rica Wildlife Guide (Laminated Foldout Pocket Field Guide) (English and Spanish Edition)

After spending two weeks in Costa Rica on verious wildlife tours almost everything we saw was identified in this guide. Wouldn't go back without!

Very handy little guide. Nice that it’s laminated!

It was a laminated 1 pager with a lot of different type of animals. We took it with us on many trips and loved being able to look up an animal. Others mentioned that it was so nice. Our kiddo also just loved looking through the different types of animals when he was bored

Was very handy on a recent trip to Costa Rica. It was easy to keep in our backpack and because it was laminated we could easily unfold and fold while on the run. There were so many types of birds there that this wasn't sufficient for identifying them all. I would still suggest taking this but also would take the bird specific guide as well.

Great little foldout guide. My kids (5, 7, and 10) loved looking at the pictures, and it was a great start for questions. From there, we could use other resources to look up more information about the animals that most interested the kids. And there weren’t so many animals that they were overwhelmed. Just a few samples from each group - mammals, reptiles, insects, etc.

If you are a serious birder, this shouldn't be your only reference guide, but it was extremely handy during our trip. I was able to identify some common varieties and it has the benefit of being a good reference for wildlife as well. Easy to slip into the backpack. Great value and durable.

My boys really liked this wildlife guide and they tried to pick out all of the species that they have seen in person. Recommended in you live in or visit Costa Rica.

On our recent trip to Costa Rica, I found myself referring to this and the Bird Guide quite a bit. If you go to Costa Rica to see wildlife, this is an excellent and sturdy guide to carry with you.

This little guide was a big hit with the team with whom I traveled through central America. Small enough to fit in a pocket, laminated to protect it from sudden downpours / beer splashes, and just enough info to give you an idea of the zillions of critters so different to what we have here in the UK / Europe.

This was perfect as a handy guide to keep in one's bag or in the car for quick identification. Of course, it's nothing like as comprehensive as individual bird, butterfly or wild animal guides, but I found we got this type of detailed information on guided tours where virtually all guides were extremely knowledgeable. We are interested in wildlife but are not massive, in-depth enthusiasts, so this served our purpose very well indeed.
