Very good phones - warm Bitish HIFI sound
These are good looking, nicely tuned phones, ideal if you like the upmarket British HiHi sound. Adjustment and comfort on your bonce are both high order. Very simple to get and keep a good fit. Bluetooth was easy and stayed connected. Isolation was good. No complaints. Sound quality top notch, slight preference for these Denon v's my Sony WF1000XM3 in ear buds, but it'll be subjective. Equalling or bettering the Sony's is a huge achievement. Not much in it mind you and they're for quite different uses IMO. The Denon are big and look very expensive walking around. Watch they don't get robbed!! The Sony's are small and no one will notice. Worth a try for sure.

Really Denon is this a joke
I would price these around £50 and still not want them, I love Denon have the D5200-D7200-D9200 which are amazing but these AH-GC30 don't even come close to the sound signature of what Denon are known for I wanted these to be good of course not expecting great but they never even made "OK" No bass no sound signature just mediocre headphones, don't be put off Denon try the D5200 as a starter and work your way up but these avoid.

bass distorts when pushed
i am forced to revise my review, the initial impressions where good however after more extended listening the sound quality isnt there, when pushed at higher volumes the driver distorts bass quite badly making the music sound terrible also voices can sound quite closed in with quite strong sibilance, the functionality is ok and the noise cancelling is ok however turning noise cancelling off makes music sound closed in and bass sounds quite muted, i have tested these with and without being connected via good cables, the main sources are fed through an audiolab qdac although i have tried multiple sources i find the same sound traits on all, the main problem with headphone is music distorting when pushed, this is unforgivable in my eyes my best advice is to look elsewhere for sound quality.

Superb Sound but........
Sound quality is all you would expect from this manufacturer but the controls are in abomination. This isn't over ear headphone with plenty of room and there is absolutely no need for the controls to be grouped so close together I'm such a tiny area of the headphone. I would recommend them as long as you got pretty nimble fingers update Oscar 4 weeks the battery life is nothing like the claimed 20 hours there are half that alright for listening to single concert like a prom absolute rubbish for binge listening open regular use I would not recommend them

Good comfort, battery lasts for my commuting with public transport. Good and almost flat curve to the sound, nice and clear high frequencies. The music really shines with these. They are really a huge step up compared to a previous model I tried back in 2016. These also have a much better microphone compared to the previous model. The ambient mode is annoying as I can't seem to find a sport that works consistently to turn it on or off when tapping. Mostly it turns un unintended. The rubber coating is uncomfortable to my touch when I pick up the headphones or take them off also it makes them look like they are scratched up until I get an opportunity to wipe them clean. These cosmetic rubber coatings should be banned by law as the rubber will degrade over time and get all sticky.
