Like all shaving implements there is a learning curve. With that said I switched [with safety nib]from a Dovo shavette to a [No Nib] Forgica Straight Edge. I prepped my shave routine and decided to use this, I noticed that the rings were great cant drop this and no secondary tail blocking my lines from view and allowing me keep this in one hand while stretching my kneck to shave totally glides is well balanced. Others gave this a bad review but didnt give it a chance, I took to this easier then traditional straight edges. I went to shave under my chin and throat and the rings and pinky guide kept this from any slipping which is alot of control"Cannot drop this in the under kneck shave position compared to traditional straight edge". I learned from this blade holder that the shavette had me with a strong grip and insecure feel of dropping it mid shave. HOWEVER, Forgica felt solid and in control through my whole shave. Now I must work on shorter strokes to get my lines sharper and cleaner when I shave my mustache area and jaw line. But this holder Rocks and less of a learning curve compared to the traditional straight edges with the tail end in the way and blocking views...MY STEPFATHER CHECKED THIS AND IS CONSIDERING IT AS HIS NEXT ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL STRAIGHT EDGE....Alongside the rings and pinky this felt very comfortable in hand and I got excited over shaving with this with respect to a traditional mans shave Routine.....

i've used various straight edge blades and holders. my personal favorite turn out to be the basic stainless steel straight holders. I wanted to give this a try because of its unique design however i find that i tend to cut myself more using this holder and the blade itself does not feel comfortable at all against my skin while using this holder. I've used different hand placements and styles of holding this straight edge none of which felt actually comfortable. I've used the exact same blades on my stainless holder side by side and just can't get into using this one. So its become an unused show piece in my bathroom. This one of those products the individual use may vary, I gave it a 3 because the item itself is as designed and pictured, arrived on time and has a good weight to it, however my experience doesn't even justify a 3. Again individual use will vary on this product and it's probably not going to be a perfect fit for everyone

As a Licensed Master Barber I am proud to say that this product will not let you down. I've come acrossmy fair share of Safety Razors and this one is made with exceptional quality. I've met the guy that madethe razor his name is Will and he loves the barbering industry and gave me some gems to help me oranyone else that is in it. One thing I noticed and loved about this blade is that is exposes the razor bladethat you lock in so you have precision in the area that you shave. Unlike other razors it doesn't cover upthe razor blade and makes shaving a little awkward. I could go on and on about this product and how itoutshines so many others. For the price you can't lose with this one its not flimsy or cheap feeling andhas enough weight on which feels great

As a professional barber, I can recommend this razor handle for those who would like to try something different than a regular razor handle. Just take getting used to. And I have big hands so I know other handles were too small. This one is good for barbers with big hands and long fingers like mine.

I received the straight razor in 2 days, but I don't like that when i put the blade and start using it, the blade sinks in. It doesn't hold the blade in properly. I think the two stoppers in there are too short. I tried a few times the only way the blade holds in place is with me putting the paper that comes with the blade on top and then close it in there to make a tighter seal. are they all like this or did I get a defected one?

Love this thing, it’s easier to hold than a traditional fold over straight razor. The clamp holds the blades tightly, and I like these brand of blades!

Very uncomfortable. And I have small hands as I am a woman. I couldnt even test it out because it felt so uncomfortable just holding it normally. Feels sharp around the handle. It’s way too thin and not smoothed around the edges.

The 2 rings to hold the razor in the hand is a good idea. Unfortunately, the quality is not great. When I put in the blade the two guard sides of the razor holding it did not align up evenly thus causing the blade to be more exposed on one side than the other. It still worked but I like my razors to be precise, so I cannot recommend it, until at least the quality improves.
