Stronghold Games Twice As Clever (Doppelt So Clever)

My wife loved the first game so I picked up this one. Only gotten to the table once so far. Enjoyed playing, but didn't enjoy as much as Clever. It may improve upon further playing, but some mechanics of this version seemed a bit clunky.

With the pandemic my spouse and I were looking for more games that play well with two people. Much like the the original game, That's Pretty Clever (Ganz Schön Clever), it plays great with two players, but is fun for 1, 3 or 4 as well. In my opinion Twice as Clever is significantly more challenging than That's Pretty Clever. We had gotten pretty good at the original, and when we played our first round of "Twice" our scores were terrible. But that's actually what makes it really great, while the overall mechanics are the same or at least similar to the original, the scoring rules in "Twice" are so different that it is very much a totally different game and not just a rehash.

This is one of our Go To games when we don't have a lot of time and don't want something that we have to break our brains on. Having said that, it does take strategy and not just luck of the dice. This one is a little tougher than the original, but it is great for a quick game.

This version plays similar to the 1st version, with different dice mechanics. I found the mechanics of this version to be more tedious and less fluid than the last version. Almost as if this were pushed out to get a quick buck. I’d recommend Gans schön clever over this game.

Fun game. It looked a little complicated when we first played but really simple and fun. Lots of choices each role and passive players still can get in on the action on their own scoresheet. Only complaint is the silver dice is hard to see. Not a big deal but I might paint it to make it easier to see

This is a fun dice game. Like Yahtzee, you get three rolls of the dice, and each turn you get to choose which die to keep. However, unlike Yahtzee, not all dies all the same. Each color has a specific function. Finishing some areas, gives you bonuses to use in other areas. You will have to be Clever (and a little bit lucky) to beat your opponent in this game!

We had good friends recommend this game to us, so we ordered it. It arrived in a timely fashion and in a perfectly sealed box but has sat unopened in our game closet until this past weekend. We went to play it, FINALLY, opened up the packaging and the dice are missing! Obviously, we are past the "return deadline". I have searched extensively for a way to buy just the dice of this game, as they are unique, to no avail. So disappointing and unfair! Any resolution ideas?

I haven't had a chance to play yet but just received this item today and the box and silver platter box where so beat up. Had to use tape to keep the box/silver platter box from falling apart. Little disappointed in that. Doesn't appear that it will affect the game, now that I have taped it up but still very disappointing.

Siendo la "continuación" del famoso That's pretty clever (Optimus en su versión en español) cumple muy bien con seguir dando una sensación de estrategia y ponerte a pensar bien en cada jugada que haces.El juego consiste en tirar 6 dados de colores e ir eligiendo entre ellos para completar tu hoja de puntuaciones de la manera más óptima y exprimiendo la mayor cantidad de puntos posibles. Cada dado se utiliza para puntuar una parte específica de tu hoja, pero existen bonificaciones que te permiten hacer combos de puntos.Al principio puede parecer un poco complicado, pero dos o tres turnos después le agarras súper bien la onda y comienza el "sufrimiento" por elegir la mejor opción entre cada tirada.Comparado con la primer parte, la forma de puntuar es un poco más rebuscada, existen más limitaciones y aquí se siente todavía más esa sensación de "No sé qué hacer" conforme se acerca el final de la partida. En lo personal me gustó más el primero (también a mi familia), pero no por eso creemos que este es un mal juego, simplemente el otro se siente más fluido. Aún así, es una súper recomendación.Si tienes la primera versión y aún no la quemas completamente, quizá debas esperar un poco antes de comprarla, pero si quieres nuevos retos con el mismo toque del primero, sin duda debes tenerla en tu ludoteca.9/10.

I don't know why this game keeps appearing on the top 2 player game lists found online. It's so complicated and there are too many rules. You really have to invest in understanding the instructions. Not fun when you want to relax and unwind.

We love these games. This version is more complicated than Ganz Schon Clever.
