I bought 2 of these for my bedroom , took a chance seeing that their were very few reviews . I did not expect much but I am happy to say I am quite impressed . 1st off these are heavy . The shade is made out of REAL glass and makes this add to the weight . The colors really pop in different shades of brown and yellow with some red and blue like jewels that reflect colors off the wall making this extra impressive . I like it as it looks good on or off and not like some kind of gaudy kaleidoscope , just basic earth colors .I experimented with different bulbs , tried CFL , standard , LED , and halogen . I found that the halogen worked best to show off the colors . 60w just did not cut it for me and this GE halgen I have pictured puts out a little brighter light and still only draws 53watt and equal to a 75 watt standard bulb .speaking of bright these lamps are not good if their your looking to brightly light up a room , more like a med bright soft light perfect for my bedroom or anywhere where one would prefer a softly lit room.I am quit please with the purchase , well made , easy to assemble . only one thing I would have changed is to mount the switch on the base instead of in line on the cord but no big deal for me as I have then being run by my bedroom wall switch .

I've had forty plus years experience with many fields including aerospace, medical, industiral.. I have to tell you this; the lamp is a true work of art and craftmanship; extremely well made and assembled well... rises above what we see being sold today... the planning used in makes the parts fit and the color use really exceeded my expections ... I will watch to see what else they offer on the market place...
