Organic Masoor Dal Mogar / Masoor Malka (Pink Lentil Dehusked) (2 Lbs)

These are great lentils. I use them for Dahl and they cook up perfectly staying soft yet intact and making a nice creamy dish.

My organic lentils/dal arrived in less thn 48 hours with no breakage or spillage, because they are in a nice branded resealable zip lock pouch. I made delicious dal similar to what I make with this company's organic Moong dal. The lentils are one of the highest quality and incredibly fresh and they are great source of protein and fiber. The fact that they are from India means that they come from soil that is less contaminated than the soil in the US. I'm also going to use these lentils for a soup recipe that I am experimenting with. This company has must buy products.

Could anyone tell me why when I rinsed these it took several minutes to rinse away the soapy looking suds that bubbled way up and out of the colander? Then I went to put them in the pot and they stuck together like cement...not sure if this is normal or not...

This is the second time I have ordered the Masoor Pink Lentils. They arrived on time and cook up beautifully. I would definitely order again.

Lovely mild lentil flavor. Works very well in rice cookers and slow cookers. Very versatile. Packaged well. A definite buy again.
