Audel Electric Motors (Audel Technical Trades Series)

This is my daily reader since I bought it. Great information on motors and controllers. The pricing was way cheaper and it was in great shape being a used book.

If your into tinkering or operating professionally these are the books for you. If it says AUDEL, just buy it.

Not complete but good enough. Should be part of your technical library if you have the room on the shelf and money for the purchase.

Valuable addition to electronics library of a newbie and DIY-er.

A big fat book with lots of info. However I am dissapointed that PWM pulse width modulation, is not even mentioned as a DC motor speed controller. One of the reasons I bought the book was to get info on this subject. It makes me wonder how much other new technology is left out or not addressed...

This is an excellent reference book for those that are involved with older era motors. Newer developments in motor / starter are not covered but manuals for these come with the equipment so not a problem. A good addition to my technical library.

Questo libro in lingua inglese é un compendio ricchissimo di tipologie di motori e di sistemi di controllo e protezione obsoleti. Nonostante sia datato 2004, la cosa più tecnologica che usa per regolare la velocità di un motore è uno SCR... Mi sembra una ristampa di argomenti anni '80
