Man, this was a needed purchase. We've been purchasing some of the large seven day glass candles and reusing the jars when they've been completely burned. The problem is that sometimes you don't want to leave a candle unsupervised, even if it is at the bottom of a tall glass jar. I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks relighting those candles is a pain. Even with regular long neck lighters, you've got to tilt them to get the flame just right and all that nonsense.Enter this awesome lighter. It charges by micro-usb and just works. Just stick it down into the jar, press the button, bam. No need to tilt the candle, no need to even touch the jar. This is seriously a device that just takes a problem away. I don't have to worry about buying a new lighter, I don't have to worry about running out of fuel, I don't have to worry about lighting any candle. If you've been annoyed by lighting candles, this is the answer.I highly recommend this. I'm going to buy one for my mom. It's just easy and just works. I have not found a downside and cannot imagine what a downside would be for a battery operated plasma lighter with a long neck. It checks all boxes.

This lighter is sturdy, nice heft. Not cheesey plastic. It lights my fireplace log lighter effortlessly and will clearly work fine to light my camper stove. Easy to use: gently push the slider to extend the prongs and uncover the button, easy-push button starts the continuous spark instantly. I can't believe I kept using those sh---y BIC long lighters for so long. I think you will be pleased with your purchase. I certainly am. If you have youngsters you might want to keep it out of reach. It's not as child/adult-proof as the old fashioned BIC. I've lit maybe 15 fires with it and it works flawlessly. We'll see how it holds a charge and how durable it is in a year or two.

It's the hyperbolic reviews that weigh down a blind[ish] buy sometimes...picked this up based on the "glow" that a lot of reviews indicated this was a well made and "omgawesome111" and its fine---except for when its not: micro USB charger end is as poorly researched and designed, to the point I almost threw it out the window. It's design is similar to the business end of a Samsung phone charger [micro usb]. The problem is it only allows the male end to go in an unacceptable depth...to...you know...charge it without a distinct wobble and the need to balance something against it to enable...you know...charging?This thing gets one warranty replacement [on its way] and I'll reconsider editing the review, but just so you know what you're dealing with, it seems nice and comes high end box----and actually seems to work okay, except 3 weeks in and maybe 4 uses, it's already shown its fatal flaw. Be warned and watch your return by date otherwise it will more than likely just end up in the trash not too far after.************************Update 12/18/2019 : Warranty replacement arrived and this one is acting up and going back, and really getting tired of buying this crap that warehoused in the states, but have to wait til someone who English is a second language, in China, to answer you. There is zero redeeming quality or satisfactory end game to this item purchase [unless going to the UPS store every few weeks excites you]. It's cheap, its flimsy, not durable and the charging end of the unit is not designed properly, shortening its reliability and battery life.This is probably one of the worst items I've bought on amazon. The company then emails you offering you money to remove your review, but nothing ever happens [they claim to be a small family run US business, and they will pay you to remove the review, which screams red flags] I would say this product is nothing more than a Chinese shill company that operates on Amazon. Just talk to them via email and you will find that out for yourself real quick.

It is sturdy in my hand, and easy enough to turn on. I use mine to ignite my gas fireplace. Similar to a BBQ, you turn on the gas and then light it. I don’t want my head (for sure) nor even my hand close to the source when the gas ignites. This is the longest neck to switch distance that I could find. I don’t have a draft inside the house so can’t address that. It works perfectly for me. My only dislike - I wish it didn’t operate with two separate buttons (or switches). It’s a safety feature, I know. But one I could do without.

I just like tell people that I have a PLASMA lighter. Also, it works great for lighting candles (which is the only thing I have used it for). It comes with a super short (micro USB) cord for charging. After using it for less than two months (lighting 1 to 2 candles per day, on average) it just quit working. I lit a candle today and on the second candle the lighter did nothing so I charged it. After the charge, still nothing. I ended up tapping it (not the actual prongs) on the counter which cause a couple black specks to fall off, but still not working. That led me here to see if the return window had closed (yes), so I figured I'd write a review. When I opted to add photos, the dang thing WORKED. So, I have no idea what the issue was and I'm glad it is resolved.

This is a great little product - no more messing with toxic butane refills or throwing out lighters one after another every few weeks/months. This product works awesome. It's safe, it's sleek, and it does everything it says it will do. Used it to light candles at night, fireworks on the 4th, and the stove during a power outage - no issues. The design and the electrical arc look, as my daughter says, "like it's from the future". Highly recommend. Will be buying more of these - at this price, you can't beat it.

Worked great at first. Charged it up after it arrived, used it to light the fireplace and some candles a few dozen times. Won't charge now. The blue light comes on for a second after I plug the cable in, but it doesn't stay on, it doesn't charge with the 3 cables and 4 chargers I've tried, and is basically dead. Not worth it.

Its convenient and doesnt have to buy matches anymore

The item arrived with defective tip, and the paint is coming off.
