A Good Resource for Ingredient Ideas, but Contains Many Errors
For the price, this booklet is a good value, and having purchased this type of recipe collection before, it was no surprise to me that it didn't include photos. What's unfortunate, though, is that it's riddled with grammatical errors, inconsistencies, and flat-out mistakes, making me wonder about the reviewer who praised these recipes as being "clear and concise". For example, one recipe tells you to add half of the cheese during the cooking steps but neglects to tell you when to add the remainder; another recipe instructs you to preheat the pot and start seasoning the vegetables...as you continue reading, you realize "seasoning" should actually be "saute"; the pork empanada recipe steps say when to add carrots but it doesn't include them in the ingredient list, so you have no idea about the portion size; and while some recipes provide oil temperature and cooking time, many are less concise and say "fry them in hot vegetable oil" or even worse "fry them with a lot of vegetable oil" - these examples are a good representation of what you'll find throughout the book. Bottom line, if you're an experienced cook and can look past the errors when the recipes steer you wrong, this is a good resource for ingredient ideas and cooking GUIDELINES. Less experienced cooks may have more of a struggle making the recipes successfully.

Don't waste your money
Do not waste your money on this book... there are multiple errors in this book and ingredients either left out or extra tossed in ... one recipe called for 3c cornmeal and 2-1/2 water then kneed until smooth not possible... wish I could give .5 or 0 stars

Needs an Editor, but I like the recipes.
As others mentioned, the editing on this was non-existent. I’m a novice cook so I was looking for something pretty specific. But this to me is more of an idea book. There are obvious errors as has been noted in other reviews including ingredients that are in the title and not in the instructions etc. I’ve gotten some good ideas out of this and I like that it gives both fried and baked options as well as vegetarian offerings.Just understand that it’s not the most professional book. But IMO it’s worth the $5

Yea, small snacks! :)
Going w a 3 star review; for about $5 one shouldn't expect alot. I think I'm being generous, book is bigger than a pamphlet but not a regular sized book. Guess I wanted more recipes but that's okay. I gotta read the descriptions, to see what I'm purchasing! Lol well, I bought a empanada aka dumpling maker at Daiso for $1.50. So I decided just get a book & call it a day. It's just something to do for alittle summer fun. Just keep in mind there's not alot of recipes in book, but I don't think it's a bad purchase.

Did anyone read this book before printing it?
Very disappointed. Did anyone read through this before it went to print? Spinach cheese and bacon recipe where they say everything is better with bacon but no bacon in ingredients or recipe. Missing ingredients, missing instructions, some instructions that make no sense. Poorly put together recipes and book.

Seriously needed and didn't get a competent editorial review before ...
Seriously needed and didn't get a competent editorial review before publishing. Loads of mistakes both grammatical and in the table of contents and index. Just leafing through and for example there was a recipe for bacon and spinach empanada and yet the bacon isn't listed anywhere in the ingredient list or mentioned in the prep. I'll get some use out of the book but was just this close to returning based on principle.

A nice variety
A nice variety of recipes. This book has different sections for different types. It also has a little tidbit on each one. The directions are pretty easy to follow. It also has recipes for the dough. You also get a sample kindle version once you purchase. It only has a few of the recipes in the kindle promo so don't think that's the whole book. One thing I noticed is that the editor failed. There were multiple errors in my copy. A hard copy book should've been proof read better. One of the recipe has an item in the name, yet doesn't have it in the recipe.

Don’t buy
Do not buy this book. Many recipes don’t include the dough so I guess you're supposed to figure out which ones from other recipes you need to use. And why didn’t they use spell check?!?!? There’s no history of where the recipes come from and many seem to be Americanized - pizza empanadas, for example - or simply sound unappetizing.
