Excellent history too bad a declining society like America does not tell the truth!

I sleep with this work edited by the great John Henrik Clarke every person should read what this magnificent man had to say. His voice is just as important now as it was then, matter of fact more so. Long live the great Marcus Garvey.

This book is well written by my favorite author. John Henrik Clarke is the greatest author for such a task.John and his sidekicks brings a hero's life alive in your hands. Every seeker of truth must read this awesome book.

The author dissected Garvey, helping the reader understand his worldview at the time. His unbiased account allowed the reader to understand Garvey for who he was and the vision he had.

This book is life changing with an exceptional amount of information and truths of black ppl their accomplishments, their trial with the oppressor and fight to get back to their roots and culture! A must read!!

Excellent Book that provides a superb insight into the aims and objectives of the UNIA during the 1920's the author's attention to detail and ability to transcend you into this era allows you to experience from a literal standpoint the impact and affect the movement had on those participating and people from the same community in the diaspora.USA Cuba, Honduras and other Central American countries were influenced by the movement and more importantly shared in the vision, with organised events and business ventures that are detailed and explained in the book.The author and the contributors also provide a honest account and opinion of Marcus Garvey that is also refreshing as it is inspirational.A recommended read.
