A great book with unexpected turns and NOT a reverse harem!
I LOVED this book! The story, the characters, everything. No spoilers just enjoy it!I am so Excited to find a talented author that does not riddle her book with cuss words, does not write Reverse harem ***gag***, and as mentioned is a good writer!I am eagerly waiting the 2nd book in this series!

Amazing, must read next book ASAP
It was so good I don’t even care that it was only a hundred and something pages because I’m counting on the others to be nice and long. I thought Kingmakers was my favorite of Her books but now I might have to change my mind depending on how this series goes. Silver was definable my favorite character and I like how Red was honest. She wasn’t keeping silver around because she had some overwhelming hero complex but because she saw a stratigic way to incorporate him in her plans. But she does have some other awesome characteristics too like her loyalty. There was some inconsistency at the beginning when Reds mom have her the Necklace/collar but later when Shes being interrogated they reference to the necklace like her old kassian gave it to her instead. I love how her books are so intriguing and manage to break the molds of the typical cookie cutter YA novels. At the same time they’re clean but not written in a way that sounds like it’s for middle schoolers. Please please don’t take too long on the next one, also if a hint on the next Kingmakers book could make an appearance soon that would be great! Thanks for another incredible reading journey

Wasnt bad, but I'm not asking for the recipe.
Many missused words, needs to be cleaned up. Story line seemed drawn out and anticlimactic. A good concept and I enjoyed the read but I probably wont read the second book. Just felt like this one was missing depth. Almost like I was reading a long prequel. I've read other books by this author and I was a little disappointed by this one, but objectively it was not a bad read. Very nice concept and great set up for future character development.

A quick adventure you don’t want to end
I was so excited about this surprise release from Kate Avery Ellison. I’m a huge fan of her King Maker’s War series . This re-telling of Little Red Riding in a post- apocalyptic setting was fantastic. You not only get werewolves but a new creature called treecrawlers which are a whole new take on zombies.I quickly fell in love of the idea of Red and The Silver Wolf falling for each other even though I had an idea of a truth they were going to have to face. There were a couple a inconsistencies about Reds cloak and collar/necklace. I also wanted to know more about the significance of a ring her grandmother had given her. It was a shorter book so I’m hoping some of my questions are answered in the next book that I can only hope comes out quickly. I plan to grab it the moment it’s released.

Quick action read
This book had a Little Red Riding Hood theme. A post-apocalyptic world with tree creatures and werewolves where the human girls are chosen to further the werewolf species. It left you with a cliffhanger and judging by the number and size of the author's other books, it will probably be a series of at least 4 books. It is a little cliche. It is whole idea of "we need your help to keep us alive so we will force you to come with us, then treat you really nice to make you like us." I don't hate this plot, but it is not my favorite. It seems linear. And I had an inkling less than halfway through the book that Silver was someone different. However, there was lots of stuff I liked. The MC was great. She was smart, determined, powerful, and compassionate. The action and world building was great and so was the writing. I just hope the plot line in future books doesn't mirror that of The Stolen Enchantress books. That would be very disappointing.

Dystopian Red Riding Hood meet A Handmaid's Tale
Dystopian Red Riding Hood meets A Handmaid's Tale in the young adult read. Meridith "Red" Rider has grown up under the rule of the Sworn, werewolf overlords who hold all the power and steal away young women they call the Chosen when they turn 18 to further their race. All the stories she's heard point to viscous beasts who will destroy her body and spirit. Joining the resistance is her only path, but when she gets recognized as a Chosen and is escorted to the capitol, she realizes she may have a reason to go there, after all. Attacked by bandits, zombie-tree people, and the elements, Red must rely on the Sworn called Vixor Rae, the Silver Wolf, tasked with getting her to the capitol safely.Unique and enthralling, this book captured my attention from beginning to end. Red was the epitome of a strong, scrappy, and independent character who had faced so much loss in her life it didn't seem to faze her anymore. Not wanting to get distracted by the enticing Silver Wolf, she fought against his kind words and vulnerable moments. It felt real and you understood where she was coming from, but also how a little bit of kindness in such an unfeeling time could make her waiver. With a surprise in the end and an agonizing cliffhanger, this book is a need to read by an upcoming author.

Fascinating, addicting read
This first book in The Sworn Saga will absolutely pull you in. I love that this takes place in a post apocalyptic world, and the tree-like zombie creatures were such an original, haunting touch. They would be so much more horrifying and grotesque than even a standard animated dead. I felt entirely under Vixor’s spell and was completely thrown by the surprise at the end. Usually, I’m fairly decent at predicting things, yet that reveal was not at all what I expected, which made it all the more juicy and tantalizing. Loved everything about this book!

Quick, engaging read.
This book will keep you up into the wee hours of the night turning pages. Although, I wish I had known that this was the 1st in a series where the other books aren't out yet. I usually like to wait for more books to come out before I start a series, and this book just ends in the middle of the story. I didn't take off any stars though, because that was my fault for not checking and the book is very well written. The pace is relatively quick and engaging, the characters well developed, and the plot keeps you guessing. I am looking forward to continuing the series.

Dystopian future setting
Only disappointment was I couldn't pre-order the next book in the series!

Quick read
I absolutely loved this book. It took me less than a full day to finish it as it’s not super long. The story was captivating from start to finish. I caught onto the foreshadowing so the little twist didn’t surprise me, but I was still happy about it. I’ll be ordering the second book a.s.a.p. This was my first time hearing about Kate Avery, and I wasn’t disappointed.

Wonderful journey and fun to read!
I loved this book! I loved at the end when Meredith called herself 'Red Rider'. It was such a nice touch to show that she was not and will never be broken! It was a really big surprise for who te Silver Wolf was! This book is really adventurous and thrilling for book-lovers! Can't wait to see what happens next!!!
