ALZO Telescoping Suspended Drop Ceiling Mount Kit

Many offices have a drop ceiling hiding ducting above it. This adjustable-length device quickly attaches to the ceiling's exposed framing. Lets you mount a device where otherwise no option existed. Same company sells low-priced extensions if needed.

Nicely made. I'm having a little issue getting the Tbar ceiling mount to get a very reliable grip. Works best when it won't be touched or messed with much. I might add some bracing wires to help reduce any sway issues.

Arrived quick. Quality construction. No tools needed. Scissors right onto the drop ceiling grid...perfectly flush...doesn't mess up the ceiling tiles. Gets the tripods off the floor and cleans up the studio space.

The timely response. Used for hanging soft light kit.

The silver end cap with the mounting screw hole just fell off of the rest of it.

The ceiling mount works as advertised. Curiously, a length of braided line comes with the kit, supposedly to tie off the light attached to the kit to the ceiling grid should the mount fail or come off the grid. The line is roughly the length of the pole in the shortest position. So, it seems that the included braided line is a suggestion of a safety feature and not an actual included safety feature.

I can't say whether this would be good for a DSLR (I wouldn't try it without the safety cable) but it's perfect for a webcam or action camera. Easy to install, easy to adjust. It's a little pricey, but it saved me from transporting my camera back and forth and setting up a tripod, so it was worth it to me.
