Since then they have been my favorite lentils and I have not stopped buying them
I started buying Organic Black Beluga Lentils in August 2015. Since then they have been my favorite lentils and I have not stopped buying them. I do not waste my time buying others in the supermarket. Beluga lentils have an exquisite flavor and texture. A few cloves of garlic, chopped onions, a little cumin, all sautéed in olive oil ... I can assure you that a plate of them alone has everything you need for a good nutrition at the end of a long day of work.Apart from that, whenever I place the order of Organic Black Beluga Lentils, I receive them in perfect packaging and on time.Thank you for allowing me to discover them. Blessings!

DELISH!
These are the BEST lentils. I make soup - google Chef John's Black Lentil Soup recipe. It's fabulous. I make mine vegan, just using olive oil, leave out the bacon, and at the end I add a couple of cups of organic spinach to wilt. GREAT dish. Enjoy!

What Looks Like Beluga Caviar But Tastes Better (and is cheaper)!
The Black Beluga Lentils are incredible and I will be buying again and again and... They keep their shape while cooking but get nicely softened. Unlike many other legumes, the Black Beluga Lentils don't need meat added to taste good. I cook mine, drain (saving liquid for adding to soups, more beans and so on. The cooking liquid goes into ice cube trays and after solidly frozen, they are put into plastic bags so if I just need one cube, that's all I take out of the bag. They are delicious just boiled and salt and pepper added, turned into curry, drained, patted dry and gently added to rice or with tomatoes, garlic, onion, whatever you like. The bags look small but they do weigh 16 ounces each (one pound, making it two pounds total weight.) The dried lentils go into a quart jar and that goes into food storage and is easy to spoon out exactly how much I need to cook. Absolutely a superlative product. Clean, very well packaged and arrived quickly. Excellent seller.

Perfect lentils for soup
These black lentils are awesome. They make the best soup because they hold their shape when cooked tender, producing an amazing hearty-yet-light texture and stunning black caviar appearance. Compared to other varieties of lentils, they are higher in fiber, lower is starch, and highest in antioxidants, so the nutrition is stellar as well.

Not the ones I was looking for.
I ordered these because I thought that they were the same as the ones I had in CAVE RESTAURANT. I even asked the manager and he said that the ones they used were Black Beluga Lentils from Montana so I ordered these. They are not at all the same. Not bad but not the same as the ones from the restaurant. Their’s were BLACK when cooked and Larger. They are tiny and cook up sort of Grey.

best quality, fanciest and best deal u can get on lentils
no doubt the beluga lentils are the caviar of lentils in terms of holding their own as a show stopping ingredient: they look amazing, are the most flavorful, and stay firm outside while soft on the inside. i love that these are grown in the USA and have a ridiculous value compared to retail price if you can even find them. we always keep lentils in stock but usually french, so i was ecstatic when i discovered this deal on amazon since it’s fast and cheap and they’re better than the french kind, imho. all the other colors like red, green yellow and brown lentils become mushy fast likely due to their saucer shape, but beluga are more ellipsoid and maintain their structural integrity and therefore flavor. now i’m glad i don’t have to send out a search party to find the best lentils anymore, just stay home next time!

Love these lentils!
I love these lentils, they turn into a luscious hummus (my favorite is a beet and lentil hummus from Vegetarian times. [...]) I use my home grown and pickled beets in the recipe. They are a great addition to stews or salads too! Love 'em!

Excellent quality product from Small Farms in the Montana Drylands.
I was delighted with the product and the personalized service from Timeless. After reading “Grain by Grain” by Bob Quinn, I sought out the Timeless website, because his story of sustainable farming in the Montana drylands touched my heart. I have used Puy lentils from France in my cooking for years and bought these as an alternative. They are every bit as good as the French grown. Also, I needed to defer my shipment for a few weeks, so called and requested that service - they were happy to accommodate me and shipped right when they said they would. All in all, A+
