Reverend Annabelle Dixon - A Vacation for the Soul
A relatively new series of cozy mysteries has entered the scene that grabs the imagination while giving the reader a whole new set of characters who become family. While enjoying a good mystery and becoming lost in delightful characters, the reader watches the adventures of a female reverend and the people who are part of her, and our, world. If the reader truly loves being enmeshed with the comings and goings of a true cozy mystery, this is the series to read. These books, reasonably priced, chase away the horrors of the daily news stories and share with the reader an old-fashioned English mystery full of fun, laughter, mystery and adventures. No horrible spy stories or murders and blood and gore, although there is a murder to solve, this series of cozy mysteries with Reverend Annabelle is a pure joy and the real thing!

Annabelle is a Delight
I like Annabelle Dixon! She is a down to earth, caring, Vicar in a small town. She loves her people and they love her and she is good at solving mysteries. I recommend this series if you want a fun, light mystery with a delightful heroine and a little romance thrown in.

Fun, quirky reads!
These are such fun BBC tongue-in-cheek type humor layered over suspense! Also, there’s a tiny bit of romance between the somewhat chunky vicar and the local detective. They are simply fun to read! Quirky characters are enjoyable and the stories are well told with lighthearted, rich details. Great mix of everything! If you have ever enjoyed BBC television humor, these novels are for you!

Not Too Grim
Main character is unusual for a Murder mystery--likable, smart. The stories are interesting and light, not blood and guts or terribly complicated. Good for light reading.

Extremely light weight and short
These books can really only be described as novellas. Partly my own fault for not checking on the number of pages. The mysteries are very easily worked out part way through. Annoyingly, considering they are set in Cornwall, there are lots of American spellings. If Annabel really ate the number of cakes that are attributed to her in the books she would be an extremely large lady indeed, even allowing for the fact that she is tall. The recipes given are somewhat confusing as sometimes the ingredients are stated by weight and sometimes by "stick" - not at all sure what that is! Although there are four books, the price is quite expensive considering the short length of the books. I can't see me purchasing any of these in the future.

A great series of books!
This is a really good series of books, an easy read with no bad language and lots of good humour.I like the fact that Annabelle Dixon is a vicar, as I am also a church ministers wife!I have also read the other two in the set.I had a lot of trouble downloading the prequel, Chaos in Cambridge, but I managed it in the end. That was also a really good read.I would recommend these books.

A little light reading
Easy books to read. Read one on a wet afternoon! The stories flow easily. The plots are not over complicated but still leave you guessing the outcome. I wonder how Rev Annabelle gets her parish work done!

Not received what was expected as a “Box Set”!!
This was advertised as a “Box Set”! It actually turned out to be One book with 4 Stories. Not as expected! This was a gift and the idea of a proper box set was the whole plan. It did not look as good as it would if it was a proper box set! In fact it looked cheap and I paid £20 for it. !!! Not amused Amazon 😤
