If you are looking for extremely bright, nearly pure white LED rope lights these should satisfy you. However, they are much too bright for the application (outdoor stairs) I ordered them for. I cannot disagree with the vendor's statement of 3000 Kelvin but they are much whiter light than shown on Amazon's website (that appears ~ 2400K). Also, the individual LEDs are mounted on flat silver strip approximately ¼” wide (rather than strung on thin silver wires) in the clear tube. They are very obvious when the lights are not on. This strip (Vs silver wire) also requires that the LEDs face out, up or down but not to the mounting surface. The effect of the number and brightness of the individual LEDs along with the orientation of the strip renders one almost 'snow-blind' when descending stairs in the dark and the light strip imprints on one's eyes (like a flashbulb) for minutes afterward; a dangerous situation. A dimmer would surely help but that is considerable extra effort and expense to replace existing lights I have which burned out. A longer than 18" power cable would also be appreciated. The Westek LROPE6W is a better fit for my application.

Used this around the inside edge of my bar alcove. I bought mounting hardware separately. It’s perfect! You can’t even see it. Just enough light. I would definitely buy again.

Make sure to match the same brand lights if you're buying more than one string. This was the only 6' length I could find after I'd already purchased a 12' string of lights. This one is slightly brighter than the others.They appear to be high quality and I hope they last years before replacing. Too much for 6' vs 12'.I use them on top of my kitchen cabinets for access lighting with a Dimmer Swithch too.

SHIPPING WAS FAST. LIGHTS WERE SHIPPED IN A THIN FLAT RATE LEGAL SIZE ENVELOPE THAT WAS SO FULL THE TOP BROKE OPEN AND THE POST OFFICE HAD FOUR RUBBER BANDS HOLDING IT CLOSED. I ORDERED TWO 6.6', TWO 13.6', AND ONE 3.3' LIGHTS AND THEY WERE ALL STUFFED IN THAT ONE ENVELOPE. THEY WERE ALL IN GOOD SHAPE AND WORKED FINE, BUT I WAS CHARGED $28 SHIPPING WHICH I THOUGHT WAS A RIP-OFF FOR A ENVELOPE THAT WAS THREE AND A HALF POUNDS. THEY COULD HAVE AT LEAST SHIPPED THEM IN A SMALL BOX. I MOUNTED THEM ABOVE AND UNDER MY KITCHEN CABINETS. UNDER THE CABINETS I FACED THEM BACK TOWARDS THE WALL BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO SEE EACH LIGHT REFLECTED IN THE COUNTER TOP. THE SPACE I HAD TO MOUNT THE LIGHTS WAS JUST BIG ENOUGH TO FIT THE LIGHTS IN, SO THE MOUNTING CLIPS WITH FEET ON EACH SIDE WAS TO WIDE TO FIT. I HAD TO USE MODIFIED CORD CLIPS AND SCREW THEM TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CABINETS TO HOLD THE LIGHTS. THEY WERE BRIGHTER THAN I NEEDED SO I INSTALLED DIMMERS FOR LED LIGHTS TO OPERATE THEM. THE NORMAL ROPE LIGHTS THESE REPLACED HAD A NICE GOLDEN GLOW SO I THOUGHT THAT WARM WHITE LED'S WOULD BE THE SAME, BUT THEY ARE A LOT MORE WHITE COLORED. THEY ARE SLIGHTLY WARM TO THE TOUCH BUT NOT HOT. THE OLD ROPE LIGHTS GOT PRETTY HOT. THEY ARE VERY FLEXIBLE FRONT TO BACK, BUT NOT SIDE TO SIDE. I LIKED THAT YOU CAN CUT THEM EVERY 19 1/2" WHICH I DID ON ONE AND IT WAS EASY. BE SURE YOU DO IT ONLY WHERE MARKED. THEY LOOK GREAT. HOPE THEY LAST AS LONG AS THEY SHOULD. THE 13.6' LENGTH DRAWS 18 WATTS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE TO MY FRIENDS. VERY THIN, VERY NICE LIGHTS. I WOULD HAVE RATED THESE 5 STARS BUT THE SHIPPING PRICE COST THEM 1 STAR.......UPDATE...... LIGHTS ARE LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD AND NOW HAVE LED'S OUT (28 IN A 13.6'LENGTH),PLUS NOW WHOLE SECTIONS ARE OUT. MY OLD ROPE LIGHTS LASTED LONGER THAN THESE. COMPLAINED TO AMAZON WHO SAID THEY PASSED IT ON TO CB CONCEPTS. .....UPDATE #2.... CB CONCEPTS SENT ME ALL NEW LIGHTS TO REPLACE THE BAD ONES. HOPE THESE LAST LONGER THAN THE PREVIOUS LIGHTS. Full disclosure I am master electrician/electrical inspector. First off these lights are UL LISTED!Very important for any electrical products to be tested and certified! Next, these are LED so you get low operating cost, low maintenance, low heat output, longer strings on a circuit vs incandescent. These lights are pvc coated for use in damp locations. I would highly recommend GFCI protection if used outdoors. This is a code requirement. For those that don't know this stands for ground fault circuit interrupter. It will trip if there is a ground fault. Potentially saving someone or pet from shock or electrocution. This is what I did with mine as I have them running inside crown molding around a screened in porch. The color is great, the quality is great. Another thing if you are looking for an additional way to mount these lights I purchased the industrial strength double sided Velcro on Amazon and they work like a charm. Just be sure to keep your strings all facing the same direction for the most even light output across adjacent surfaces (this can be a little tricky in crown molding or on top of cabinets.). The Velcro really helps with this. This was a great purchase for the price I would definitely purchase more.

Lights My kitchen Very Well!

I ordered this item as a replacement for a 6' rope light I had and used as under cabinet light in my master bathroom. I had thought this would be an easy swap. Take the old out of the plastic holder under the bottom kick panel, and insert the new......WRONG! The new one is a different design, one of the new flat models with small LED "squares" inside the plastic rope. Because this one isn't round but flat wider sides with two narrower, it is wider than the old rope model and will not fit. The install clips that come with the new rope is impossible to install in the bottom of my cabinet because there isn't enough room to install any screws. I will have to figure out how to install this unit or get some other type of "rope lighting" that is actually round.

Large section of these rope lights have burned out.Also plastic could not withstand the heat from the sun

I'm an electrician, love this product, and use it for night time bathroom use. I control it with a combination motion sensor/photocell so that it only works at night when someone enters the bathroom. No need to turn on bright lights. The mounting clips provided with screws that you need a magnifying glass to find are virtually useless. I used double sided tape, the same width as the light strip, to install and it was quick and easy.

This is a fairly expensive product compared with many other similar products on the market. One major problem is that its only allowed to cut once every 19". That leaves it either too long or too short unable to fit. The one I ordered is 6.6' long and it only comes with 4 mounting clips, which are not sufficient for the length. I asked cbconcept and they refused to mail me a few additional clips even I paid almost $70 for the product. For these reasons I don't recommend the product.

Used this to retrofit a Pepsi cooler’s front light. Used 3M UHB tape to stick inside the box. Works great, perfect amount of light.
