Easy Origami Animals (Dover Crafts: Origami & Papercrafts)

Most are easy. Some of the illustrations are not quite as clear as they could be. I've had trouble with a few. Our 7 year old has been pretty successful with most.

Good directions amd good for beginners.

My 9 year old daughter uses this to make origami. Instructions are vague between some steps and require some trial and error. If you're looking for exact step-by-step this comes close, but will leave you guessing between some steps.

I purchased this for my 7 year old daughter who LOVE origami AND animals so this was a win/win!!! This book has tons of cute animals and super easy instructions for younger children. Not to mention an amazing price! Love it!!

For Easy, this is a not-so-easy origami book. The directions are good as long as you know all the types of folds. If not, you have to keep flipping back to the explanation of the folds at the beginning of the book

This book is the most popular amongst my origami loving students because it is very accessible and the designs are consistently interesting.

Love it because what I used to do took too much time. With this Origami book, I can “perform”socially and give a kid a small paper animal !I found it easy because I am familiar with John Montro’s instructions from his other books.

This is a Xmas gift to my grandchildren. I flipped through the book I I believe they will enjoy it.

Once the child is hooked on paper folding this is a brilliant book for keeping them going. Teaches not only how to fold the animals but how to follow specialised instructions. It's well worth spending a little time to clarify the codes on the arrows and lines at the beginning, and demonstrate each – this helps the origami student take a more independent approach. Moves from easier to harder animals. The forms really are elegant and well proportioned to give a strong sense of the physical shape of each animal.

This turns out to be my sons favourite origami book, he is 10 years and finds the drawings clear so as to be able to follow them - but they are complicated enough to challenge him and keep his interest (not babyish).
