Quick & truly useful (even fun) ways to get calm
I love this book! I'm a therapist who practices and teaches meditation- this is a book I will be showing ALL of my clients, b/c so many folks are intimidated to try meditation. This book is full of bright fun illustrations & clear instructions on how to do these different 5-senses meditations. I love how Karen pairs good research with tips on how to use each technique. This book gives ample permission to try things like using certain essential oil (and what their benefits are) to "earthing" (putting bare feet on the ground and why this helps the body calm). This book will be added to my Karen Collection in my waiting room-- all my clients love her books and especially that they give them good ideas for kind self-care.

This book is a real gem!
I have been receiving Karen's e-mails and reading her many inspirational articles for some time now. I had been looking forward to her latest book, "Instant Calm". Once it was delivered, I realized I had ordered four copies from Amazon as I kept pre-ordering. So, one for me and the others are gifts for friends. Treat yourself to feeling better in a short amount of time. Karen's compassionate view of the human condition allows her to share with others her kind, inspiring wisdom in a simple way along with fun art work. Get this book as a gift for yourself....you'll be glad you did.

I cannot say enough good things about this book! Karen offers quick, practical, easy-to-follow tips for incorporating meditation into your every day life. The best part is they’re fun ideas that take no longer than 2 minutes! I’m excited to start using these sensory meditations in my every day life to develop more of that peaceful feeling we all long for (applying the visual mediation right now as we drive through the mountains ;)

Much needed self help
As soon as I did the first practice I knew this was going to be beneficial. I’ve read a few other books by Karen and felt the same way. U won’t be able to put her books down

Instant Calm, a must buy for peace of mind and heart.
This is another fantastic book by Karen with well researched suggestions on how to meditate easily throughout the day using all your senses. Love the layout, design and content. Karen has a pure, real and truthful voice that she uses with humor to convey real ways to live a more meaningful, peaceful life. Love her and her latest book Instant Calm! Enjoy.

Wonderful Guide
What a nifty idea! I have always wanted to meditate, but find it difficult to focus and relax- especially due to my ADD. This book is a great guide, with easy to follow instructions and filled with uplifting messages. I know it will be treasured and referenced frequently!
