Works well
I got this to be able to use a dual-band antenna with two radios, one VHF and one UHF. It is suited for the purpose. It has been connected for a while now and has been performing flawlessly.

Works great!!!!!
Using this with one antenna and 2 radios and is working great! I didn't test db loss, but my swr's didn't change at all on 2m or 70cm. Saved me from having to buy another antenna, more poles, and more coax. Well worth it

A solid little performer
I think this is one product MFJ can rightly take pride in. It allows you to operate two radios (a 2 meter and 70 cm radio) on one shared antenna...or feed two antennas to one dual band radio. What is does not allow is repeater operation that requires both bands on a single radio. For example, if you set up your radio to call the repeater on the ISS which has an uplink frequency on the 2 meter band and a downlink frequency on the 70 CM band you can have one or the other, but not both, to the same radio. The workaround is to transmit on the 2 meter and receive on on the 70 CM with another radio.

Does the job well. Only complaint is that the SO-239s are a bit short so the mobile antenna I used for in-house crossbanding, the PL-259 would not screw tightly so I had to use some extra connectors.

Good Item from MFJ, as usual
Great item. I have an 8 element 2 meter quad and a 14 element 440 attached to a Yeasu FT857. There is one antenna port for Vhf/UHF. Previously i was using a switch which is inconvenient when working VHF contests. I have it on the unit, have checked SWR and through it n both bands it is essentially the same as on the antenna directly. I hear the Mighty Fine Junk comment on MFJ equipment so much but I have several pieces of their equipment. They cost about 1/2 of what most other vendors charge for the same item. All have served me well. This came with one anomaly, the label was on 180 degrees off. But one look told me hat to do and i relabeled it. It wasn't worth sending back. I did notify MFJ so they can see if this as a one time failure or if they have a problem.

MFJ916B
Worked flawlessly and was just what I needed. Good separation between VHF and UHF. SWR below 1.3:1 up to about 400 MHz, 1.5:1 up to 500 MHz. Good quality and value for the price.

Worked great!
Worked exactly as advertised. Use it with a cross-band repeater.
