This journal arrived today. I got the writing journal for women. There is a floral design on the front with a gold pattern stamped over the floral. It is gorgeous! The front has a soft matte texture to it. Its size is not too big or too small. The gold lining the pages makes it look very special. The pages have a feel reminiscent of scripture, crisp yet worn. The pages are fairly thin, and I was worried the pens I love (pilot G-2's) would bleed through. I love the inky juicy black pens. I wrote my name on the front page and the other side of it does not show up enough to annoy me. There is minimal bleed and a bit of an imprint. This does not bother me. I actually love the thinness of the pages. It has a historical and luxurious look. There is an "index" at the front to act as a kind of table of contents, as each page in this journal is numbered, which is convenient for finding special entries. I debated buying because I have never spent more than 20 dollars on a journal before. I am glad now that I made the purchase. It will make my daily journaling feel much more ceremonious and rich.

Although you can find less expensive journals, this one is beautiful, very well-made, and a joy in which to write.Because journaling is important to me (and necessary to clear my mind and keep things straight), it is one of those purchases where I am completely fine with paying a higher price. This is why I give it 5 stars for value, as the look and feel add value for me.The paper is wonderful. I do not see any ghosting and my pen glides smoothly. (For reference, I write with Pentel 0.3 needle tip pens, in black ink.)After opening my purchase and writing my contact info in the front and then two sentences within the journal, I ordered three more so I would have them in case I cannot find this journal for purchase in the near future. (I fill journals relatively quickly since I write EVERYTHING in one place to avoid turning into a maniac and frantically looking for Post-Its or random junk mail envelopes to find reminders I wrote.)In my opinion, this journal reflects someone’s effort to carefully craft a product to a higher standard, and I absolutely LOVE to reward that kind of ethic.

When I received this journal, I was very pleased to see that it was just as pretty as it looked in the picture! The pages don't bleed ink, and the line spacing is perfect! There is also a, sort of, blank table of contents in the front of the book. Each page is numbered, and you can write a title on the contents page next to each corresponding number. Makes it easier to go back later and read over specific entries if you choose to. When I fill out this whole journal, I definitely intend to buy another one in a different style. This journal is baroque rose gold. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a good, sentimental journal! It is hard cover though. I like hard cover books and journals. It just depends on your preference.

This journal is smaller than a normal one and extremely overpriced but it is gorgeous…. You can find larger journals with gilded edges and interesting designs for cheaper right here on Amazon for at least $10 less (Pauper Press). So, I don’t really think it’s a good deal at all, but I loved the design so much I paid for that. I will say that the quality seems very nice. I got the Peony option. It’s a beautiful image and the gold work is perfect. The image is only on the front which is fine. I’m happy with it. I wish they offered different sizes for people who want bigger journals. Oh and the pink flowers on the “PEONY” option are actually roses. I don’t see any peonies honestly… wish they had actually added some to the PEONY journal lol.

This is a very classy writing journal. It comes in a nice box which was nice to receive something wrapped so beautifully. The pages are lined, however, I was nerves after reading the reviews while writing the ink would bleed through the sheets, but that did not occur. I assume that maybe happening with some people depending on the type of ink pen being used. The journal does have 191 pages total if you write front and back, an elastic band to keep the booklet closed (no clasp), a pen holder (no pen comes with this journal, but it would be nice given the price), and a strap so you can to back to your last page used. I would recommend trying this as a gift for yourself or for someone else. There are different covers or designs, I selected the copper which I found to be classier and I found a pen online for $10 that matched. I plan to buy another since I journal daily and will go through this one quickly.
