Great Landline For The Price
Not much to it. Looks good and modern. Sleek design. The LCD screen displays incoming numbers (if you have caller ID) and outgoing calls. The display also has a date and time function which I don't care about since I wear a watch. The buttons are large and easy to read. Great for the seasoned citizens. The ringer can be turned off by a simple switch on the side or set to high or low ring. It also has the ordinary functions like redial, mute, tone, pause and address book. No direct 911 button. The instructions are easy to follow. Takes three AA batteries for the screen function to work. Beats having to plug it into an outlet especially when you hang it it on a wall. Desk to or wall mount just simply move a brace on the back. The side picture is the phone mounted on a wall with the DSL converter behind it. If you don't need the converter your phone will sit flush with the wall.

good phone for a decent price
Works exactly as expected. I have had zero problems with the actual phone functions. As previously stated by other customers the phone will fall off the hook if you look at it funny. The mute button does not make any noise when muting or unmuting-which is really nice (especially if you are purchasing this phone to work from home). I don't really use the display, but if I wanted to I would be a bit disappointed as it is very faint even with fresh batteries. Over all, for your average no-frills phone, I am satisfied & I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a regular phone and a very decent price tag.

- Hard to go wrong for under $19.00 -
- I recently purchased this phone from Amazon for under $19 and free shipping.. I work in the Telecom field and I find this phone a great buy today. Phone quality good.. Caller ID.. This model does not have Speakerphone, so be aware of that if that is what you are searching for.. This makes a great basic desk / wall phone with Caller ID. It does take batteries for the Caller ID display. That can be good or bad.. I like a phone that runs on AC power, with a battery backup. This one is battery only.. It is hard to find a phone today that uses AC power.. Some people do not have an AC outlet close to their phone jack, so battery is better for that application anyway.. The phone handset cord is relatively short, so if you need one longer, make sure to order an extra in the length you desire. Panasonic makes pretty good products for today's limited quality of things.. The days of Western Electric building phones in the USA that lasted forever, are now gone.. I would recommend this phone to anyone looking for a good quality economical landline phone.. Would not hurt to use the good long life batteries, to help cut down on battery changes..

Decent Phone Overall
I bought this phone for my kitchen wall mount. I had been using an old GE wall mount phone for about 15 years and figured it was time to upgrade. I don't use home phones much anymore, I like most people use a cell phone as there primarily phone. But I still like making calls from a home phone and it is a good backup just in case. I have phone service thru a VoIP company (Ooma). I have had excellent luck with Panasonic cordless phones in the past, the only brand I buy anymore; there cordless phones are simply the best. I've never had one of Panasonic's corded phones and I assumed the quality and design was gonna be as good as a cordless model from Panasonic. Over all the design and performance of the phone is ok. The handset is weighted well and feels comfortable to hold. The buttons are a rubber material and are easy to push and are large. I mounted this phone on the wall but it can also sit flat. Mounting was not difficult and the receiver stays on the hook well. The sound quality of the phone is good overall. There is an LCD display on the phone which indicates the date and time, caller id functions, stored phone numbers, etc. The display is poor and difficult to read probably due to the fact that it is not back lite. Another weird thing about the phone is the LCD display functions will not work unless there is a couple AA batteries installed in the base. The LCD display and functions are not powered by the current coming into the phone thru the phone line. The battery compartment is on back of the phone underneath the wall mount bracket! It is a bit of a chore to remove the phone from the wall, remove the wall mount bracket to access the battery compartment cover to change the batteries.

a nice corded phone at a great price
Like most people I wanted an alternative to cordless phones in case of an emergency. The Panasonic KX-TSC11B more than meets my basic needs. My basic requirements for a corded phone are that it:* must be black - this phone is black (except for the cord, which is sort of a dark gray)* must have Caller ID - this phone has Caller ID (the name flashes first, then the number, and if you don't pick up off of this phone it will say "missed call" and include the name/number)* must be DSL wall compatible - this was one of my main requirements as I have a DSL wall filter and if you're like me you have found that very few phones fit nicely on the wall with a DSL filter, but this one includes a wall adapter and fits in very snugly* the ringer must be able to be turned off - this has a side button that will allow me to either turn off the ringer or lower it.Overall this is a fantastic phone. Panasonic makes durable phones that last for years and years. My only complaint is the extension cord. First of all it wasn't black, and second of all it was grossly long (there is no way it would have fit on my wall with my DSL filter) so I had to replace it with a tiny black extension cord.BTW if you're looking for a set of high-quality cordless phones at a great price, check these out.Remember, you are what you buy.

Works with Plantronics S12
It does work with the Plantronics S12 Headset System and the Vonage VOIP Device. Some people say they had problems but this is what I did to make sure it worked. All of my cords have connectors, and I made sure that they all have 4 copper strips in each connector, and not 2 copper strips. The phone is simple and it does have the ring off, low, and high setting.
