Fisher-Price Imaginext Mega Apatosaurus

I can't believe I got this for $15! What a deal! For what I paid, definitely a 5 star purchase. My daughter really likes this toy. We have a ton of imaginext Dino's. Knowing what the regular price of this item is, ($35-40) I think that price is kind of high.The dinosaur works great. He walks well on both hard floor and carpet, and he is more than sturdy enough to handle my 3 year old's play sessions. The sounds he makes are cool.I can't comment too much on the gear that came with him as my daughter is only interested in the Dino's themselves. I would love it if imaginext sold a line of their Dino's without gear/robot parts/people so that we weren't paying extra for plastic we will not be using. It would be cool if they sold the gear separate from the Dino's and just lowered the price of the dinosaurs themselves by a little to compensate.

This is such an awesome Dino toy that I had to buy 2 and at only $17 a piece it was well worth it. I have to let you know it took a little figuring out to get it to walk and roar but once we realized the back part has to be down and you press the button forward to make it walk and roar, but if the back is up, it won't move. Once you figure this out, it's a super fun toy for boys and was introduced to us by my 5 yr olds speech therapist who uses it for her sessions with children. Highly recommend because the much larger one is too big and not easy to store, but these little ones are a perfect size standing about 18 inches high.

I bought this for my son at Christmas. He likes it a lot and it has held up very well (it is now 7 months later). It's well made, and we have had no problems with it breaking or anything. It walks and roars when you push the button.The only complaint I have is that at one point the seat that the figure sits on will pop up and then there is this long sequence of clicking that has no apparent reason... it's like the toy is shooting something, but it seems to last way too long, and nothing is even coming out. I would have preferred them to leave the sound effects to the kids, rather than have this loud clicking.But overall it's ok, and my son loves it, and still plays with it 7 months later.

My kids love imagjinex. This one doesn't have as good animation/movement as the tan T-Rex but he's still worth the deal we got vial Amazon. My son loves him. I read a handful of comments about him having trouble walking on carpet or walking in general. We haven't had really much trouble BUT if your child gets impatient and tries to force him to walk (mine did) you can click the legs out of sync. When my son did that I didn't have trouble clicking him back, but my son learned to be patient. This is not a fast moving dino!

I will admit that I had been reluctant to buy this toy for me almost 5 year old for almost a year now.. We see it in stores and he always wants them. Well my mommy instinct kicked in every time saying this line of toys looked easy to break and bad news..Well my son at last had done something he had been trying to for months and it was a big deal an as a reward we said he could pick out ANY toy he really wanted (Within reason) and he asked for this.Well they only had one left at the store and it was still listed as 40$ and I knew they were cheaper online so I told him the one in store looked broken and beat up (and it did) and we would order it online.Well 2 days later this was at our door step and he was thrilled.First off, I was 100% thinking the unpacking of this would be a pain. That being said, I was STILL blown away with how much of a pain it was.. After 5-10 min of just getting it out of the box we got it all ready to try out. Pushed the button to make it go annnnd disappointment! First off it could hardly move on our floor.. Then it started making a awful clicking sound.. We took it too our tile floor and still it had a hard time moving and there was clicking still. After checking I found that it was a "normal" sound and that it was just very loud.well I left my kiddo to it and not 60 seconds later he was crying that the dinos leg was broken. Broken?You can bet I was a bit pissed thinking how on earth did he break it THAT fast. Well he didn't.. The legs on the dang thing can very easily pop out of place and then it can't move and looks a bit like a dino rag doll.. It's very hard to pick it up and move it without the legs doing this.Over all I now have a toy the is a huge pain in the butt for me the parent to "fix" every few seconds for my kiddo.For the price you pay and it being a name brand I would think it would be better built and not so flimsy. We will not be getting the other toys like it that's for sure..

We got this for our son who was 5 at that time. At first, it was frustrating because the dino would tip over. Then we contacted Fisher Price who said that we just needed to pop the dino's legs to balance it. I was worried that I would break it, but man, that dino is sturdy. It's great because it walks, makes sounds, shoots those harpoon things, and has a human rider. I like the customer service of Fisher Price and how concerned they were about our simple problem.

Completely disappointed with this toy. We bought this toy for our 3 year old son who loves dinosaurs. He already has the Imaginext Triceratops and Raptor. We love them. So I was thrilled about the options in this Apatosaurus - He would walk and roar! Sign us up. So after it was opened on my son's birthday, the Apatosaurus would not walk. The internal mechanisms were trying but its legs were not moving. It just kept collapsing on the floor. So we returned it and bought another thinking it was a fluck. Nope, same with the 2nd. So happy about Amazon's return policy. Would love to see this toy work. My son was a wreck as I was boxing it us to return it a second time.
