We've had a popcorn maker for over 20 years and have tried various brands. THIS is by far the BEST one we have ever used!

My husband got me a Great Northern Popcorn Machine for Christmas 2019. I can not tell you how many brands of popcorn I have tried and thrown away. Husk, Husk, Husk, even when the package said no husk. No only can I not believe it, I was just about ready to sell the machine and thought I would try just one last time. The funny thing is, the popcorn is a Great Northern Popcorn. I don't fix it like it say however cause it makes my kettle gets stuck and stops and then it burns the popcorn. I don't put all the ingredients in all at one time. I do heat up the kettle like I am supposed to with the oil, drop 3 corn in and wait for that to pop and then I pour all the rest of the corn in. I do not pour in the salt, that is what makes my kettle stop and not only that, It makes a mess of the kettle. I have only 1 small problem, not all the popcorn pops. However, the taste out weighs the un-popped corn.Now, don't take me wrong, this popcorn is not husk free, but the husk is different, it doesn't or hasn't yet, choked me. The taste of this popcorn is crispy and just the right amount of salt. This is also the 1 popcorn that I've been able to save in baggies and eat days later and still be good. This is a good thing. I will not be looking any more. I can continue with my next mission, Yeah!It's been a few days and I have popped 2 batches, 1 was with the salt, which of course made a mess in the kettle and also caused the kettle to stick and then burnt corn, well not too much, cause I was watching really close, I new it was going to happen, so when I started to hear the gears starting to screech, I stopped everything and scooped the popcorn out with a spoon, it was sort of funny, every so second a corn would pop and make me laugh, I figured while it was still trying to pop it was going to be alright, so I was quickly trying to scope all the popcorn out. I did manage to get all the popped corn and even the ones that were stuck by the stirrer, only a few had burnt, quickly, I turned everything back on, added just a little bit of oil, just in case, and popped the rest. Other then the mess of the kettle from the salt, it turned out pretty good, even had it a few days later, with no burnt popcorn smell. So, I have now made a batch with out the salt, I can not believe this, but my kettle has not been this clean after popping a batch of popcorn. Wish I had seen this popcorn way earlier. Would had saved me a lot of elbow grease. I don't know about others, But I wash my kettle after every batch and when I've had burnt corn because the kettle got stuck, I'd give it a deep clean with Kettle Cleaning Crew. I always do the instruction 2 times. The stuff really works, it is made by Great Northern Popcorn Machine Company.

After trying several different brands there is no question Great Northern Popcorn White Premium Popcorn is the best out there until someone can prove otherwise. The popcorn is fresh and sweet with a satisfying crunch even better than Movie Theater popcorn by far.We popped the Great Northern Popcorn White Premium Popcorn in a 6oz. popcorn Kettle. We added only the oil and white popcorn into the kettle leaving the salt to add after the popcorn was done so as to salt to taste. We added some melted butter and we were amazed at how really good this popcorn is. We have tried Pop Weaver and Mega popcorn and they do not come close to the quality of Great Northern Popcorn White Premium Popcorn. We have had white popcorn in the past and it really is the only way to go if you love popcorn.We only hope Great Northern keeps up their quality control as we will be customers in the future. Thank you Great Northern Popcorn!! One final tip, you can pop extra and use 2.5 gallon freezer bags and freeze this popcorn in your freezer. You will be amazed at how fresh it stays and how good it is right out of the freezer.

Love that Great Northern has a natural popcorn that tastes great! No artificial colors or flavors and no chemicals. I felt it was a little too salty though so I only use about half of the amount of salt when making it.
