GENUINE GOVERNMENT AIR FORCE PILOTS SUNGLASSES BY “AMERICAN OPTICS” (52 MM, Gold)

Excellent quality and they look good. Unfortunately their the wrong size.

I've be wearing my 2 pair of USAF glasses since the late 1960s. They are pretty beat after 40 plus years so I decided to try these as a replacement. They arrived in about three days and are very nicely made. Not a cheap knock-off of the real thing. The frame actually seems a bit stronger than my old ones .. maybe it's just the age .. but they are definitely of good quality.I bought the 52mm size to match my existing frames prescription lenses. Now I just have to swap them out. (All I really wanted was the frames). If you are looking to replace your old Air Force glasses I think you will be satisfied with these. The vendor had a good price and shipped promptly in a well packaged box.

These are still my favorite shades for motorcycling, because unlike many, they do not create eddies behind the lenses that can make your eyes water. I prefer the bayonet temples for putting them on under a close-fitting full face helmet. I think they look the best, too, but that more than anything is a matter of personal preference.

I had originally bought my first pair from this seller and loved the quality, and decided to order a second pair. That was a mistake, the bridge of the second pair broke, I tried contacting the manuafacter and the seller with no avail. Avoid this seller !

I like the 52mm lenses and, the gold frames are traditional like when the Air Force ordered the first production contractin 1958. Tough glasses great for driving, work, and general purpose wear.

I love they are still made here in the USA and they look good on me!! They were delivered ahead of schedule! Couldn't wait to wear them!!

Previously pair lost overboard at sea. These arrived within one day and are of the highest optical quality.
