This is a huge improvement over thee built in GoPro Mic. I wish I could afford to get a Rode Mic which are so popular, but as an old retired guy I'm on a budget. I did do some testing for directional effect and have made some vlog videos in my car and found it so much better than the GoPro by itself. I have not used it in windy conditions with either the black sponge cover or the dead cat cover, but I did test it with and without the black sponge cover and found no discernible difference in the sound. I'll be using this quite a bit for my videos and will add to this review if anything changes in my viewpoint. For now it appears to be a good value and I would recommend it, especially if you're on a budget like me.

I like that it includes adapters for it to work on both typical camera and other recording devices. I was curious to see how ViewFlex did with this one considering a lot of these cheaper options generally don’t sound that great. The sound that comes out this mic is actually louder than the RØDE and has clear high frequencies. It comes with both TRS and TTRS cables so you can use it with phones as well as cameras and recorders. The foam cover and dead cat are nice, you don’t get an included foam cover with the VideoMicro. The mic is lacking a bit in the lower frequencies, compared to the VideoMicro but for around $15 or so less it’s worth it if you want to save the money. I did basic vocal enhancement in Premiere Pro and I could not tell the difference between the two. If you care about the low end straight out of camera, consider doing a comparison for yourself. If you are going to edit the audio anyway and want to save some money, go for the ViewFlex!

Seems well constructed, but didn't work with my Iphone: Even if is advertised as compatible with Iphone X and XS, but even using the recommended (Original) Apple Lightning to headpone Adaptor with its original Viewflex cable for cellphones, it doesn't work with my Iphone XS Max. Sometimes I got a very very low sound recorded, sometimes nothing at all. Maybe the microphone is incompatible with the my current IOS System (iOS 12.3.1). Maybe is a good device for cameras, (or older Iphones), but it didn't work for me.

When I bought this a year ago, I tested it out right away and it worked great. Used it MAYBE 5 times. Took it out for an event, important event... Found on playback that I had no audio. I was extremely disappointed and confused. After testing and elimination of various components, it became clear it was this mic. Not sure why it quit working, but it did. Looks like I should have gotten the Rode to begin with, I don't know why I always try off brands first. I recommend when it comes to important equipment, go with what you knows works.

The mic seems to work very well with little noise. It is not working with my Actinow Digital Camera Recorder that I bought on Amz, but I suspect it is the camera, and not the mic because it works well on my computer and smart phone with the smart phone plug. Something to note, if using it on the smart phone, at least mine, if you use the reverse camera to record yourself testing the mic, the phone uses the camera mic and not this external mic. It does work appropriately and well, though, when the outward camera is being used.

This is a good mic for what I'm using it for. I use it with a Galaxy Note 8 as an external mic and it gives better sound than the phone mic. In noisy surroundings this doesn't do well but I wouldn't expect it to. In those instances you would really need a lapel mic or much larger shotgun mic or boom mic. As I said, it does well for what I use it for.

Was worried about my GoPro powering up the microphone but it works great. You do need the GoPro mic adapter. The sound quality is great. Much better than the stock mic on the GoPro. And the price is great. Amazon messed up the shipping but the microphone is great. Made a nice sound quality video for my YouTube channel 👍👍

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This shotgun mic is really good for the price. It’s a cheaper alternative to the Rode Video Micro but i don’t feel like I got a cheaper product. It comes with 2 cables: one for your camera and one for your smartphone. The build quality is great, the included wind muff really work and the recording sound is good for the price. I just wish it had a battery to boost it signal because some DSLR have noisy preamp with low level signal. Even there, it fares quite well compare to other product I tried in the past. I have no comparison however, I’m impressed by the performance of the mic hooked up to my Canon 60D SLR. My voice was clear and crisp. I definite improvement over the built in mic on my SLR. Comes with cables for hooking up to cellphones as well. The shock mount actually does what it’s supposed to do unlike other designs that are stiff and brittle. Foam cover and “dead cat” windscreens are included. A solid choice and great value for anyone who wants better audio!

Glücklicherweise sind zum Betrieb keine Batterien erforderlich. Man kann das Mikro samt der beigefügten Anti-Schock-Halterung nicht nur auf einen Mikrofonschuh aufstecken, sondern auch der Anschluss an ein klassisches Stativgewinde ist möglich. Außerdem werden ein Popp-Schutz und ein äußerst effektiver Windschutz mitgeliefert. Die Doppel-Kunststoffhalterung zur Reduktion von Störgeräuschen erfüllt ihren Zweck, jedoch wirkt sie etwas fragil und man hat Sorge, ob sie bei häufigem an- und abknipsen auf lange Zeit haltbar sein wird. Wegen der hervorragenden Klang-Qualität muss ich jedoch trotzdem volle 5 Sterne vergeben!

Very impressed with the Viewflex VF-M10Works perfectly with Android and Sony DSLR'sQuality is high and accessories are great. Cannot believe for the low price how impressive the quality and sound is.Good lows and mids for such a low cost mic as well as how small and light it is. It will also work perfect on most gimbals due to the light weight.Will buy another for sure for our live streams

this microphone is like a knock off version of the rode video micro, for half the price and for comparable and decent audio. it is definitely better than any built-in microphone in a camera. highly recommended.
