This works on some of my bottles and jars.

**Writing the review from the perspective of someone with severe arthritis and very limited grip strength.I purchased the bottle opener years ago and it was the first product I ever found that actually worked to open soda bottles. The interior that grabs the bottle cap got chewed up and it stopped working. Looked for the same product and it now only seemed to come paired with the jar opener. Same low price - so fine. I had my doubts the jar opener would work for me due to my lack of grip strength and I was correct. Perfectly happy to give away the jar opener and use the bottle opener myself. Note: it also works fine for beer bottles and the like - but it's never worked well for opening cans for me. Still, $7 to save me from opening soda bottles with my teeth is well worth it!

I have ordered 4 of these as they are so great! I've been giving them to every single woman I know. I've used mine for over a year and have easily opened every jar & bottle I've tried. It is fabulous! Everyone that I've given one to is also very pleased. Especially great for someone with arthritis. It's especially great for the large jars such as peanut butter & salsa, down to milk jugs & soda bottles. I have yet to find a jar it will not work on EASILY! Highly, highly recommend. Worth the cost 10 times over!!!!

My primary goal was to open wide-mouth lids on canning jars. While the wide-mouth lid fits into the jaws - just barely! - the handles are then so widely spread that using the device is very awkward. Another, larger size is needed.

Trouble opening jars, bottles etc??? GET THIS!! Easy open soda bottle after they re pressurize. The smaller one is even a pull tab can opener (tuna cans). EASY! this has been a life (hand) saver.

Absolutely love this! I feel like I have so much power now that I can open anything!! Bought one for my parents too and they love the ease and convenience of this.

Does work helps with people with arthritis however you still have to grip it pretty tightly to lids. But it's better than trying on your own. For me it has helped but some might find it more difficult

I was surprised when this opener worked on a wide mouth jar of pickles. I had to pull it apart to fit it on lid. It really latched onto the lid. It then used one hand to hold the jar and the other hand to pull on one of the prongs. The lid came off!!!
