Rockstar Romance finest…
I loved this story even the parts that felt painfully real and had me irritated with our hero or heroine. Rockstar romance is one of my favs. This story is the perfect balance of sweet and hot fantasy with some angsty realism that has you wanting to smack someone. Our couple both take missteps which cause an extra helping of drama. It felt believable because the rockstar lifestyle would be hard to navigate especially with all the users/abusers trying to cash in on the hot ticket. Having a baby together does not fix anything either, in fact it could make things worse.I totally get our heroines misgivings especially considering the behavior of our hero initially. Ugh even when I was mad I couldn’t help routing for our little family. Wink. Sooo Good.Yikes I can’t wait for the next in this series. Did I mention you had me at rockstar romance?! It is worth repeating. lol. Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO

Careful, bad boys can imprint permanently!
Okay Jessica, I already love your style of writing but once again, you knocked my socks off! What a great story, especially when I thought I'd covered all the Rockstar stories. Broken, lonely girl meets the beautiful, broody man who sets her body on fire only to have her world implode and she can't run fast enough. Fast forward and she's maybe giving him another chance. This story is so full of ups and downs but the heat keeps one turning pages. Her character incites me towards violence directed at her for her blatant stupidity in regards to Garrett. Worth reading for sure and I know Garrett will own you just as he does me!

Loved this angsty story
OK I am a sucker for rockstar romance and Corrupt was the perfect dive into that trope. While this story starts off on some seriously rough plot elements for our heroine, I really enjoyed her falling in love with the rockstar. There is steam, a metric ton of angst, and some really good fights. The beginning starts as a story of a man realizing he’s a fool for almost letting his future slip through his fingers. The rest is a woman learning to trust and love. A lot of people express issues with the beginning of the story, but people make dumb mistakes when drunk.Gwen meets Garrett escaping from the crazy rockstar party he’s hosting in his home. They drink a bottle of whiskey together, tell a lot of truths, and end up in bed together. The next day, he remembers very little from the night before and gives Gwen an unceremonious boot via a vile assistant. Three years later, they are still tangled together but not romantically. That is until Garrett realizes what he thought he wanted isn’t what he wants anymore, and he starts fighting for his future.I really loved this angsty love story. I loved that the characters were both flawed and had realistic hangups about their situation at times. The fallout from their one night stand may have been the blessing both needed. I loved how Gwen didn’t make it easy for Garrett. Many readers criticize Garret’s character, but honestly, how many unmarried guys have their life together and don’t act like idiots too stupid to see a good thing right in front of them. And how many women, scorned the way Gwen was, wouldn’t be on the defensive every moment and have a really hard time trusting. SO I think if you like rockstar romance, characters with flaws and hangups, and a TON of angst, this is the book for you. I loved every minute of it and stayed up way too late reading.

absolutely ravishing
There was so much hostility, spiciness, raw emotion, adoration and so much more in this book. I felt like a fly on the wall getting to experience Garret and Gwen’s relationship. Front row and center. Give me popcorn because I want an encore. Phenomenal!

I was consumed by this story! Loved it!
I loved Corrupt by Jessica Prince, her first book in her new series, Civil Corruption! I consumed this book in one sitting and then read it again shortly after. This is Garret Wilder’s story, the drummer for Civil Corruption, the hottest band in the country.I will tell you upfront I love bad boy jerks. Not sure why, but I do. I love to see them be reformed by the love of a good woman. So honestly, I had such a love-hate relationship with Garrett. When he meets Gwen Carson he seems like a good guy meeting a girl at a party. They hit it off and spend an unforgettable night together. The next morning Gwen realizes who he really is and how much of a bad boy he is. But somehow, he ends up beings a permanent fixture in her life. Like it or not and though she wants to punch him almost every time she must deal with him! But no matter how much she tries to hate him, she is also drawn to him.Garret was such a jerk at the beginning. He was your typical rocker! Rich, spoiled and a partier that went from one woman to the next. I wanted to strangle him. Then we begin to see a different side of him. A more serious side that wanted to get to know Gwen and spend time with her. That Garret stole my heart. He was sweet, caring and so much the possessive alpha. He was also funny and witty.Gwen was so sad at the start of the story. After suffering such devastating losses, she wanted a fresh start and moved to Seattle to be with her best friend. One night changed her life forever and though she was drowning in grief, she was strong, willful, feisty and so loving. She stood her ground and never let Garret intimidate her.I loved this story and the characters. I loved how Garret fought for what he wanted and Gwen held her heart tight, afraid to be hurt again. And boy did I hate Kimber. It’s been a long time since I hated a villain so much. I devoured this book from beginning to end. Though the overall theme is not new, the famous rocker and your average girl, this story just drew me in completely4.5 stars! Read and reviewed for Reviews From The Heart.

Love It
What a way to start and finish. The only thing missing for me was an explanation for why he handled things the way he did. I get immaturity, but I also know he knew she didn't know who he was. Either way, I look her it. On to "Defiled"!

Good!
I liked the story and it kept my interest. I would have given it 5 stars if it was written in dual point of view.

Great story
Really enjoyed this book. It’s the first in the Civil Corruption series. Storyline was good, something a little different for me as rockstar romance are not really my thing. Garret was a fun character to get to know, yes he was a little arrogant and at times insensitive, but his true character shines through in the end. Gwen, I do love a strong female character, and in parts she was, but she was also so annoying with the to and fro’ing that she did!!! In the end things workout how they should. Looking forward to the next book, Deck and Tate 😬

Another great book!
Another great book by Jessica Prince! Garrett, the rock star and Gwen, a young woman who is dragged out to a party. They meet. She spends the night and then is ceremoniously removed the next morning. Gwen is left with the consequences of their night together. A few years, down the line they meet again.I loved this book. I cannot wait to read the stories of the other band members - who are living the hedonistic life.

2.5 stars
I love Jessica Princes writing but this one fell a bit short for me. The book starts off with the hero and his management team treating the heroine like shes nothing more than a gold digging whore and I just didn't feel like the hero ever really redeemed himself in my opinion. After 3 years of being a selfish douche canoe he pops up and makes her feel like crap about her life because she's not as rich as he is and then makes demands and all of a sudden decides he wants to now be in a commited relationship with her after whoring around for the last 3 years while she struggled. Also the guy claims hes going to protect her and look after her and that he loves her but he'll still keep the one person around who hes slept with and whos treated her the worst. Yuck! The heroine was okay but she seemed weak to me. After being so strong in the beginning she just lets him steam roll her life and then forgets that hes a man whore whos treated like she was nothing for the last 3 years.Just never found the swoon factor in this one and was really rooting for the heroine to fall in love with someone else anyone else lol
