HORRIBLE POTS......A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY !!!
I bought these thinking that they would be easier to start seeds in and then just put the whole biodegradable pot into the ground...but they weren't... I am an experienced gardener for over 30 years and I put good potting soil in each one, and then my nastursium and morning glory seeds..- [about 35 pots of seeds ]. The problem with these cardboard [or whatever they are made of !! ] is that they became moldy and dried out immediately after being watered... a total waste of time and money for my seeds - as only about 5 pots produced any 'life'/leaves sprouting forth... What is much better is that I also started nastursium seeds [the same brand, everything !!]...in small plastic pots, and they took 'hold' immediately and the seeds grew.. I think this is because the small plastic pots did not dry out or become moldy...thus the seeds had a moist environments in which to develop root system... My pixs about show the moldy Huvai biodegradable pot on the left, [with absolutely no results !!], and the plastic pot on the right, -which shows healthy, bushy growth... To plant the nastursium in the plastic pots, all you do is let them dry out for a day [don't water them], and they pop right out- ready to be put in the ground. with a wonderful , healthy root system already developed.~~and you can re-use these small plastic pots over and over]-no more expense !!!

Thes pots mold immediately and kill clones!
I bought these pots to start clones in. I've been cloning cannabis for decades with close to 100% success Once in a while I lose one but not too often. Until now that is. These pots are not made of peat but some kind of paper pulp. In any event these pulp fiber pots immediately started growing some weird orange mold as soon as I put them under the cloning dome which rapidly spread and infected my potting mixture. With this batch of clones I'll be surprised if any of my plants survive and I'm absolutely certain these pots are the cause of their demise. The price may be right but these pots are simply not worth it!

Not Impressed
While I will reserve judgement as to the ultimate usefulness of this product, there are several issues worth mentioning.1 - I am not sure what they are made of but it isn't peat. I have bought/ used peat pots before, so I know what they look like.2 - They are not a good value. The price per pot is higher than real peat pots you can buy at a big box store. I only bought them here because they were out of stock in the stores in my area.3 - They are not as sturdy as a real peat pot.4 - There's no drainage hole in the bottom like every other peat pot I have bought in the past has. I don't know if this will cause a problem or not but thought it was worth mentioning.** This is an update **After using these pots for a few months, I cannot recommend them. For whatever reason, seedlings do not do as well in these pots as they do in real peat pots. I have a lot of die offs and growth is slower and stunted. I have also noticed that the pots do not dry out completely between watering like peat pots do. The bottom 1/3 of the pot stays wet.

They produce mold
I've used various brands of Peat pots for starting my seeds. They usually do a great job of germinating seeds and allowing me to take baby plants straight to the garden when they're big enough. Never had any trouble with pots. But this batch started to grow black mold, which then turned into a hairy white sort of fungus both outside and inside the pots. This can't be good for the plants. I won't recommend these and won't purchase from this vendor again.

Good Value
These are the round peat pots in the picture. After a month they are falling apart but did their job well.Update: I wouldn't plant directly into ground Once roots are coming through the bottom remove the pot before planting. Roots will do better if they don't fight through the remaining material.

Use with caution
As others noted, these are quite susceptible to mold. Use them with caution indoors as black mold will form quickly. A way to avoid this is ensure proper airflow between each pot on a tray or use outside. Not suitable for bottom watering. Have not tried to bury these as most I used for transplants are moldy. But they work in a pinch if you can make sure they stat dry on the outside while the plant receives sufficient water. I’ve removed bottoms on some of them so roots can reach the water, those seemed to do better.

Maybe not Peat, and not up to my standard
I purchased these little pots to grow seedlings. They are labeled as 'peat', but they seem more like pressed paper. The bottoms are somewhat irregular, so they are 'tippy'. They just don't meet my standards for a good quality, plantable peat pot. I wouldn't buy them again, and I may just give away the ones I still have after using a few from the package.

Mine seem to self-destruct before my seedlings are ready to plant
I've ordered a lot of these over time and they work well enough, but depending on the type of seedling you have, they may melt away before you had a chance to plant.Bottom line: if they are over watered and not planted on a timely basis, they will crumble.
