Don't believe the hype...
I bought this because my old 4gb MP3 player is now full up and this one had great reviews and a great price. However it seems that you get what you pay for, I never write reviews but I felt I should share my experience as the current reviews are one sided and I feel inaccurate. The whole thing is made of cheap plastic that bends when held too hard and feels like it could break. If you press the buttons too hard it makes the screen change colour which makes me concerned about how long it would last. The buttons are loud and clicky and the whole way it works to cycle through the menus just seems backwards to me. And it seems that once you get to a certain menu the only way I could find to go back was to turn it off and turn it back on again :-sUnfortunately there is no lock but on the plus side it does have a shuffle feature. It displays songs by file name only and you can't search by artist so good luck finding a particular song if you have a lot of music!I tried to get around this by syncing artists direct from windows media player. This created a separate folder for each artist, each folder had separate sub-folders inside for each individual album. Problem solved, or so I thought... I then discovered that you could only play songs from the final sub folder (such as individual albums) and not play all the artist songs as one playlist. So I then painstakingly cut and pasted from each album folder into an individual folder for each artist. That worked but unfortunately there is no option to play all songs so I was stuck with just listening to a single artist at a time. To get around this I had to copy and paste all of my songs into one folder with no sub-folders and put that onto the mp3 player as well as the individual albums. So I basically had every song in my collection twice on the mp3 player just to be able to listen to them how I wanted to!I then realised that it was not worth the effort as when I plugged in my old good quality headphones (the ones included with the mp3 player are awful), I found that the sound quality is very poor even with good headphones. It just sounds tinny and generally poor quality. For the money it's ok for someone who doesn't have a lot of music and isn't bothered about poor sound quallity or a child who is too young to know any better. But I can't recommend this to anyone else.In the end I had a brainwave and dug out my old samsung brick phone. I used the 16gb memory card that came with the mp3 player and copy pasted my music on to that. The automatically phone sorts them via artist or song, has a shuffle, lock and great sound quality. Problem solved at long last :-D

Its okay, but
The sound quality is surprisingly decent for a cheap MP3. It isn't the most straight forward in use, but with a bit of poking around (or actually reading the manual) you get used to it. I like that you can charge it of your laptop. The design is nice and I like its small size. HOWEVER, after a few days of use, the loop function stopped working. It would play once and then go to sleep. I used it for an audio art piece and needed it to play continuously, so it not looping really let me down and I had to rush to find a replacement. And most bizarrely that happened with BOTH of them, as I bought two for my piece. So all in all, if you just want something cheap to listen to music on, its quite good, but do not put your trust in it if you need something more advanced... I didn't use any other functions, besides audio, so can't review that

Super little mp3/mp4 player
Some MP3/MP4 players I've owned in the past have been ok, some better than others but this little beauty is up there with he best of them!It comes with 8GB memory which is quite sufficient, instructions are very simple to follow (in fact it's just common sense really, I hardly had to refer to the manual as it's very basic stuff to use this) :) - Also it's very easy to put your music into this, all you do is connect to a computer via the USB cable, this will show up on your desktop, click on that and then simply 'drag and drop' your files into the folder (or you can create your own folders or playlists) and that's it, job done! There is a built in rechargeable battery, which lats absolutely ages when fully charged, you can 'shuffle' your songs or just play individually, there's also a jPeg picture viewer which is really handy (so it's not just music that goes in here) you get lots of different options with the equalizer modes: funk/Jazz/Hip hop/Classic/Rock, etc - all this inside such a small unit, it's brilliant! What you get:Package list:1x MP3 Player1x Earphones1x USB Cable1x User ManualI have to be honest here, this is a great little MP3/MP4 player (most are just MP3) it's a superb price for what you're getting and I have no hesitation in highly recommending it to everyone, hence the 5 stars! *****

Great little mp3, just doesnt accept CD tracks
Brilliant little mp3, literally the only downside is that it doesnt accept songs taken straight from CDs which was the majority of what my son wanted. I cant figure out how to convert them either. The colour is lovely, it is robust as my son has dropped it several times outside without even scratch, and the battery life is amazing!

Does exactly what it says but feels flimsy
The item arrived in perfect condition and was relatively easy to set up. The controls took a little getting used to and feel a little flimsy. However, it works well and the sound is great (although better with different earphones). It is a good shape and size and very light.

Value for money and easy to use
In my opinion this item can be described as ‘ value for money’ it’s very cheap and surprisingly works fine. It has features such as playing music, video, recording and text, which I’d say it’s great considering the price! When you first receive it and touch it, it’s very very light and simple, but works fine and it’s very easy to set up and use.In my opinion this is a good item for young teenagers, or even adults when you don’t want to pay a lot for a MP3 player and yet be able to listen to some music. I just shared my own experience and I’m happy with my purchase.

Very Poor Quality
The only good thing I can say about this peice of junk is that it arrived pretty quickly.Everything else associated with this device is very poor. The build quality is 'toy shop' quality, confusingly difficult to navigate around, when using the device and the small mp3 files I'd tried to transfer never appeared, apart from one!Disappointed is an understatement. I'm well aware you get what you pay for, but I expected something that actually works! Will not be wasting my money again buying inferior products. You live and learn, cheap on price and cheap on quality, rubbish!
