It is made from trees grown in the northern part of Vietnam. The material can sustain heavy sunlight as well as rain. When wet the hat may become a bit softer, but then dries to its original state. The Vietnamese learned the art of pith helmet manufacturing a hundred years ago from the French during their occupation. Due to the handmade nature of the Pith Helmets, please be advised that there may be some minor imperfections in the construction of the hat. These imperfections should not hinder the look or the wear of the helmet. Hat Sizing Info: Small/Medium adjustable cotton sweatband fits heads from 55 cm to 57 cm.Large/X-Large adjustable cotton sweatband fits heads from 58 cm to 60 cm.

Definitely looks the part and the quality makes the rest of my fancy dress costume look cheap (which, frankly, it was: it's why I upgraded the hat in the first place). My only issue is that the helmet is very round and thus feels tight front-to-back, even if I adjust the headband to the max. It is possible to remove the headband entirely, it seems, to create more space but that may prove uncomfortable so I will instead try to compress the sides for a couple of days prior to use, which has the effect of making it longer. But in any event it'll do the job and I expect to have it 'borrowed' by others when I wear it.

It is very well built it is very lightweight and it is very good quality
This item fits my head like it was made for me I know it sounds weird but I do collect hats and military helmets I have quite a few in my collection I also have in my collection Star wars helmets to get back to the item it is a very well put together item if anybody would want a pith helmet they are made very well l&i would suggest anybody to buy one they are definitely not a load of rubbish

I love my pith helmet
I had no need for one but my friend Alex bought one for a day out with friends where they were all wearing random hats. I was taken instantly and whilst not going on the jaunt, needed in on the "having a pith helmet" action.I honestly sit wearing it the house from time to time for no other reason than I can. And of course next time I watch Zulu, you know it will be adorning my head. And no I am not taking the....

Perfect Pith helmet
briilliant !! Just as i hoped it would be. Needed it for a cc1910 stage production, With the addition of insignia it looks really good .Could have got a vintage one but it would have been soiled .and may not have been right size. This one is adjustable. Service was excellent. Arrived within two days of placing the order, several days earlier than expected. Thank you.
