I bought this to make for a friend who LOVES the color purple. When I started painting the flowers they were more pink.in color than what the advertised pictures depicted Besides the color match issue.....two of the four pain brush bristles were bent so hard to use is small area. AND....Several of the colors were dried out.I contacted the seller about the issues & I had to send proof with pictures. After MANY email attempts to correct the issue they finally sent me a new kit.The final product came out nice & my friend liked it but if I ever do another paint by number project I probably won’t use this company.

So no, it’s not dark purple as the listing indicates. The actual colors are magenta, pink, mauve and lavender, and if those colors are good for you, it will turn out really pretty. Plenty of paint included, great price (I assume due to the color variation) fast shipping and sturdily mounted canvas on wood frame. Parts of this are really intricate, but most of it is quite simple and would be great for a beginner. I love tulips and these turned out so well.

I am very disappointed because I thought I was getting a painting of purple tulips. Actually the tulips are different shades of magenta - not purple at all. I'm going to finish it, because it will still probably look ok. Don't know if this was an error in packing or not, but all the other colors are just fine - the leaves and background all match the picture - just not the tulips - they are not even close to the photo. On the positive side the quality of the paint is good. Brushes are adequate. I was going to give this as a gift, but not sure now due to the color issue. I'll add a photo when its done.

I do paint a lot in oil but this one is very challenging to do. A good practice for detailing, need a lot of patience and time. I could have given a 5star if not for some paints that are already dry. I still recommend it though.
