Silicone Gloves 2 Count, The Best #1, 5 Star rated

Picking up a lot of BBQ off a cooker this isn't as good as I thought. You can grab 2-3 pork butts and put them on the table to be wrapped before the glove gets too hot to wear. I had to deal with 36 pieces so my needs are out of the norm BIG TIME. To grab a few racks of ribs or a pork butt it is great.

I have large hands. It takes a bit of effort to get them on. I find myself grabbing the pot holder instead.

When I first ordered a pair of the Gripsafe gloves I wasn't sure what to expect. What arrived were gloves in a delicious shade of candy-orange and while apparently thick enough for heat-protection, seemed cooperatively pliable and soft. The entire surface of each glove was covered in small uniform heart-shaped "goose-bumps" for grip while the interiors were smooth and velvety. I'd just opened them and they were already making me smile. I've now roasted a 21lb. turkey, pulled numerous steamy lids off pots, carried a hot slippery vat of pea soup from stove to counter, and baked racks of roasted vegetables and casseroles. The gloves wash easily and in every instance my hands have felt fully protected. I also used the excellent grip to successfully open a stubborn jar of pickles, but that's probably not their recommended use! We haven't BBQ yet - that's my husband's department - but because one-size-fits-all, large man-size hands easily fit inside. I'm ordering more for family and friends and can't imagine anyone being disappointed in receiving a pair!

I suppose these are what they are supposed to be. However, I bought them to use when cooking with a cast iron grill. I need to remove it from the stove without sliding it (glass top) so, I have to pick the grill up. These gloves aren't much better for that than my regular hot pads. I cannot really handle the grill with these gloves, as needed, because the heat comes right through! I don't really know the temperature of the grill, but I thought the rating on these gloves would cover it....not so! Back to the drawing board!

Love the gloves. Looking forward to using them the next time I use my smoker.

These work very well for hanging on to hot things longer than with a heavy cloth mitt. Being able to grab greasy, moist, sticky things and easily rinse them off is great too. A little more effort to get on//off than a traditional cloth mitt but a much better tactile feedback as a trade off.

When the glove is used to pick up hot pans, the hand/ fingers are burned. I bought the gloves to protect from this as an upgrade to oven mitts but the gloves do not protect.
