These do run a bit small. My daughters are both skinny and avg. height and need a size up. My 12 y/o needs 14, and my 8 y/o needs a 10. However, they LOVE these suits! They don't ride up and the racer back let's them really move and swim.I am a little disappointed that I bought 1 to try on my younger at $16.99 with Prime shipping and suddenly the price jumped way higher suddenly. I will not buy more at the higher price.

My daughter has a long torso and this swim suit easily stretches to allow a comfortable fit. The racer back makes it easy for her to put on by herself without the shoulder straps getting twisted or crossed (for a 6 year old that can be a real issue). It has held up well over the past many months with much use in chlorinated pools both indoor and outdoor. Recommended to anyone looking for a quality swimsuit that is comfortable and durable.

You really can't go wrong with Speedo for swimwear. These suits, when properly cared for, will last forever. In fact, my daughter usually outgrows them before the suit wears out so I end up passing them along as hand-me-downs. I especially appreciate that the leg holes have the silicone grips along the bottom so the suit stays put. Worth every penny.

I cannot understand why there is no consistency in sizing. My child is currently wearing a size 10 (Speedo Girls 7-16 Racer Logo Splice One-Piece Swimsuit) and I thought I should get a bigger size as a spare so I ordered this in size 12. When this arrived, it is smaller and shorter than her current size 10. Definitely too tight.

This was bought for a tall thin ten year old who has a torso too long for a 14, but has a birth mark on her tummy that she's become shy about -- no two-piece for her right now. The suit is a little loose but the cut of the back and straps is perfect for her. She also loves the color. I would definitely buy a Speedo next time.

This cut is the only type swimsuit style my daughter wants. The wide straps don't cut into her shoulders. The T formation of the straps in the back insures the straps will not slide off her shoulders. It's easy to put on without help. She loves the colors, too. She wore this suit all summer and it still looks new.

My grand daughter likes it and that is important to me.But in the description it says Red, and we thought the Blue color was sold out and only Red was available. When we received we found it was just Blue, of course with some red colors in the front. It is very pretty.Safer to order one size larger. She looks comfortable in it.Peach tn.

The suit is ok but does cut in too close in the chest area. The one star is for the fact that the suite came with a 30% off sticker attached to the $44 price tag. I buy a lot from Amazon and didnt realize the price gouged like this. When I complained, I was told too bad.
