Amazing Animals: Koalas Paperback – Illustrated, February 2, 2011

This is a beautiful book with great photos. Both of my kids (18 months and 4 yrs) really enjoy this book and love the pictures. There are twelve full page photos and several other smaller photos too. There are ten pages of text that have about four sentences per page. My children cannot read, but I think this book would be good for readers bc the font is large and the difficult words are defined. This book is larger than a typical early reader book.The information about the koalas is basic but is perfect for young children- it provides a brief overview of all the important koala facts. Another nice thing about the book is that the last page of the book is a koala story that tells the tale about why koalas don't have tails...so a cute bit of fiction thrown in for fun.I highly recommend this book and I absolutely will be ordering other books from this series!

My 2nd grader had to do a report on koalas and this book was perfect! He read it easily on his own and was was able to use clear simple facts from it.

Such a cute book, my son loves it!!! I am sure other kids will too!
