Logical Leather Padded Dog Collar - Best Full Grain Heavy Duty Genuine Leather Collar - Green - Extra Small

This is an excellent, sturdy collar with quality of life improvements (rear ring for leashes, front smaller ring for tags). The colors are vibrant and it feels nice and soft on the inside where it touches my pup's neck. They tell you in the listing to measure your dog's neck and I can't stress that enough. The collar is meant to fit securely. I estimated the size wrong the first time, but once I figured out the actual number the one I ordered was perfect. That's not on them - they warned me - and now I'm telling you. Measure first, order once.

Initial review- see updated review. Upon opening the box, I could immediately smell that the collar was real leather & not a pleather knock off. The fit for my 67 lb dog was perfect & there was still one hole left for adjustment. I loved that there were 2 loops for the excess portion of the collar to slip into. This held the excess part of the collar snuggly so it wouldn't stick out. I ordered the pink as my black dog is a girl. I was hoping the pink wasn't florescent, which it wasn't (see picture). It was a nice shade of pink that looks nice against her black fur. The collar in a decent thickness with a nice padding inside. Overall, this is a very well made collar & I'm pleased with my purchase.***Update*** I'm changing my review to 2 Stars. I just replaced this collar with another pink one from another company. I would wipe this collar clean, use leather cleaner & protector and the pink dye would constantly rub off. I used a microfiber towel to clean the collar with the leather cleaner. After washing the towel, the dye permanently stained the towel. The collar cracked over time as well despite my efforts to protect it. I thought this collar would last longer....but it didn't even make it a year.

Purchased these for our 2 Great Pyrenees (yellow and red) and they are fantastic. We no longer deal with mats in their manes and they look great. That we can now readily tell them apart due to the 2 colors is a definite bonus. Well made, great looking and wonderful value!

This collar is made of good leather and high craftsmanship. The hardware is very sturdy, too. But we had enough issues with it that we had to send it back. 1. The buckle is too close to the ring that the dog tag and leash attach to, and it is annoying to have to sort through various pieces of metal to find the right one when putting the leash on. 2. Although the collar was the correct size for our dog's neck, there was a very long tail end to it that flapped around (the leather loop to hold the tail was very close to the buckle when we needed it spaced out further.) 3. Our dog weighs twelve pounds and the collar was a bit too wide and heavy for her. 4. And lastly, there is a card inside the box that says STOP and watch the video before using. However, you can't watch the video without joining the club, and we didn't want to join a club for an item that we thought we might (and as it turns out actually are) returning. So who knows what the video says. This collar will be perfect for some situations, but not for us and our dog. I hope I can find one of the same quality but which doesn't have the same issues.

Very good collar

Totally fooled by the marketing language and some misrepresentations. Unfortunately, my return window is closed as I bought this early as a Christmas gift for our Boxer. The company does tout a full return guarantee, but I’d rather keep this review posted to help other purchasers than get my money back.Design first: The hardware is poorly positioned, with the leash ring right next to the buckle. Crowded, and two will bang together, greatly limiting how far the leash ring can rotate, and creating a slight choke-collar effect of roughly 1”. The lining only covers part of the interior, and only “lines” the entire collar the smallest hole, which leaves 6“ of strap flapping merrily past the strap stay.The description completely misrepresents what this collar is made of; it is likely third grade leather (“real” or “genuine”);, NOT full or even top grain. I don’t think the main strap is bonded leather— you can’t see a backing. Things to consider:1. ZERO grain on the exterior surface. None. Full grain will always show natural graining, and even some faults. No one “corrects” full grain leather— Its beauty is in the grain. Real grain in is typically irregular 3/16” (or so) blobs, sort of like little amoebas. The “grain” (see 3 below) on this is is just pinched folds in the finish.2. The shiny finish is already cracking, (inside and on the sides} — a clear indicator of lowest quality leather.3. When you reverse-fold the strap (either length-or widthwise), there is no consistent grain, and you can feel the finish layer flex separately from the remainder of the strap. Same for the liner.4. Chemical smell much like urethane/polyurethane. Common in “real” or bonded leather finishes. Jury’s out, but can be mildly toxic.5. The finish will not accept any kind of oil-based treatment— full grain leather or even top grain (aniline or semi aniline) typically will. Water beads up on this material like it’s on glass. Dead giveaway for sealed “real” leather— unsealed, it will absorb water like a sponge— because that’s kind of what it is.6. The liner is likely vinyl or bonded leather, with a thin foam backing. WAY too thin to be leather... and doesn’t pass the grain, flex or finish tests. Plus the edges and ends are folded under and glued, hiding the back. Suspicious at best.BTW— This is made in “North America” , which includes Mexico. I’d like to think no self-respecting American (or Canadian) work would produce this kind product.

Measure your dogs neck.

Looked for a red leather collar that wasn't going to cost the earth for ages and found this by chance.When it arrived it was in a display box and it was so gorgeous!My boy looks so handsome in it I absolutely love him wearing it, everyone comments on how smart he looks when out for a walk.I will say though if you have a white dog the dye runs the first few times it gets wet, we walk in all weathers so his chest had a red stripe across it but the dye came out easily with a good scrub in the bath.I use leather wipes to clean my collar and I got the matching lead and it looks brand new everytime, we go for all sorts of walks so it gets a good bashing and it's still in really good conditionWish they did it in purple or I'd order one for my gsd puppy I just got!Deffo worth the money and more though!

Quality collar. My only gripe, though it is a fairly big one, is that the ring fir attaching a lead is small and hard to use because the buckles get in the way. It does make it awkward to clip on and off for walks, which is a big part of the whole point.

Decent collar, fits well and looks good but it smells really bad and its not just a leather smell, its a toxic paint smell which is really strong. not a great mix with wet dog and toxic paint, trust me. Im hoping it'll subside soon but who knows.
