Great buy, fun toy
This toy is so simple, but the kids really liked it and the price is great. I bought one each for my niece (5) and nephew (2) and they both played on them off and on the whole day. After they got tired from spending a solid 30-45 minutes zooming around like fiends to begin with, it turned out it was a great TV watching seat, though they continued to slide themselves around off and on while watching a cartoon. It was easy for the 2yr old to figure out, very little learning curve, which is good for a 2 yr old's attention span. Two caveats... First, be sure they get put up; they are low to the ground and if you stepped on one of these, the results would not be pretty. However, being so low to the ground helps them be more stable and less likely the kids will get hurt if they fall off, which neither did, by the way. Second, I don't know how well it would roll on carpet, I suspect not that great. On a non-carpeted floor they roll smoothly and easily, though. All in all this was a great buy...I'm waiting for the adult version! Hint, hint, Radio Flyer!

Best fun toy we've bought in a long time!
Our 18 month old and 3 year old LOVE this saucer! My husband and I will each sit on one end of the kitchen and send one of them flying across the floor. They giggle and laugh and have the best time. We originally wanted the one without sound, but it was sold out. Now we're glad we got the one with sound, the laser noises and the "3, 2, 1 blastoff!" phrase make it more fun. It seems really sturdy and well made, I'm actually surprised to say that about a toy made in the last 5 years. It's lightweight plastic, but not flimsy, and it rides on 4 solid casters and has two handles for the kids to hold on to. AND, it's actually made in the USA! I can't remember the last toy we bought that wasn't made in China. I think all Radio Flyer stuff is American made, which is good. Very happy with this toy and glad we bought it. I'm sure someone's kid will fall off it at some point and then it will be recalled, but hopefully not because it is safe. Kids fall off bikes too, it happens.

Takes two to play
With kids of all ages, I thought somebody would be on this thing all the time. Not exactly. It's difficult to propel oneself around on it, so instead of the kids playing and Mommy watching, it's Mommy push me, Mommy spin me. Unlike some of our other outdoor equipment, this one is not fun to push, hence none of the kids are lining up to push each other around. It is a durable product, just not generating the excitement we'd expect.

FUN!
The kids have a lot of fun with it. The side rails prevent larger kids from sitting on it (comfortably anyway), which could be a pro or a con, depending on your situation. They use the gaps under the side rails to tie and pull it behind other vehicles. We got it for the kids to use inside and stay active on days its too cold to go out. We have ceramic tile floor and this thing is incredibly LOUD clacking over the tiles. It rolls great and has held up well, despite being used by larger kids. We have also given one as a gift for a 2-year-old and it is a favorite.

for my boy
Fully describes the toy making 9 sounds and a turn signal sound. This was in a brown box no instructions and NO SOUNDS OR BATTERIES. Bo where to even put batteries or buttons to pushI bought one 10 years ago and it did have sounds. Very sad I wanted both my grandsons to enjoy this toy

Fun for kids
I bought this for my 4 year old daughter & 2 year old son. Both love to race & spin around on this. I do keep an eye on my son because if you don't position your behind over the middle of the seat before sitting, it could roll out from under you & cause a bit of an "ouchie", but other than that, it's a great product & lots of fun for the little ones. I would definitely recommend the small "upgrade" fee for the lights & sounds because it really does add to the fun. If it were up to me though, I think this should be around $25 & the no frills version should be about $20, but maybe that's just me! Regardless, it's another well made product from Radio Flyer & the kids will be sure to enjoy it!

Sounds like Space Mountain!
I got this for my 3 year old son. I was going to get the one without sounds but I decided to go with this one and am glad I did. My son loves the sound buttons! I don't think he would have as much fun without the sounds. I personally don't like them much-- they are generic space related sounds that remind me of what you hear on Space Mountain at Disneyland. It says "Blast Off" and some other stuff about meteors and Jupiter and then there's a music button which plays music that I swear is the same as the Space Mountain soundtrack. There's also a cool laser firing sound but it alternates with another phrase so that's kind of annoying. I wish they would have just made one button do nothing but laser sounds so my son could pretend he's firing lasers instead of having to listen to 3-2-1 Blastoff in between. He still loves it and is having fun with it though so I'm happy with my purchase. He's using it inside on our wood floors right now and I have noticed any major scratching so that's good. I'm not sure how well it would work out on rough concrete though. It looks fun and I wish I could fit on it too but even as a petite person I am too big to fit on it so I will just have to enjoy watching my kids play on it.
