My husband got me these after I saw Midge using them on marvelous mrs mazel. I have THE WORST HAIR and have wished for different hair my entire life. I'm 57 years old and decided to stop coloring it and with spoolies now I have so many options. My hair is fine, really fine, like silk or baby hair and straight as an arrow. I don't have heaps and heaps of it either. It never holds a style for very long no matter what miracle product I've tried. With spoolies I use much less product and do less damage to my hair because I'm not using heat other than a blow dry and the curls or waves last forever! It took a bit of experimenting to get results I like and sometimes it's not completely consistent but I like the results just the same. I never want to be without them! I take them when we travel also. If you have tried them with poor results, I would suggest giving it another go with patience to figure out how they work best for you. For instance, my daughter found overnight made her hair too kinky. For me oevernight gives me the most bang for my buck, but I also get nice wave if I blow dry, pop them in, do my makeup and a little tidying up and then take them out. I'm even going to post a photo and I'm not photogenic and have no makeup on -'that's how impressed I am with these little darlings.

The description states that these are jumbo size....they are NOT! They are smaller than the regular size I already have! Very disappointed...I ordered these for a special event this week. They going back!

I have fine textured, meduim length hair. I can make 12 work if I only wrap the lower part of my sections for casual curls, but just barely. If I wanted to do full curls I would need a least 2 sets, wrapping each section halfway from the base, then halfway the rest of the way. As other reviews state, these are NOT LARGE.

I like having a little curl to my hair. These work but when I take them out it pulls my hair a bit.

These are good, they do the job, but they don't hold much hair. You will not be able to do your whole head with a 12-pack. I was not able to do it with 36 of them. So, save yourself some money and buy the 24-pack, instead of doing what I did and ordering four 12-packs over the course of the past two weeks. Keep in mind also that the more wet hair you spool, the longer it will take to dry. I'd recommend putting mousse or gel in damp hair (rather than wet hair) and not putting too much hair on a spoolie.The spoolies are soft and flexible, and stay in well if not over-loaded. I tied a scarf over my head after putting them in and was able to sleep with them in.They actually have other uses, too. I first ran across these at my daughter's Montessori preschool. The school uses them to help the kids with their manual dexterity and to teach them about shapes. My daughter loves them. She flips them back and forth from the wine glass shape to the pyramid shape and makes little towers out of them.

They are too small for my shoulder length hair. Can’t return, threw boxes away. Total waste of a purchase.They should state for short hair for size being advertised.

These would not stay in my hair no matter how little or how much hair I used. I returned them. Just to be clear, I used this type of hair curler about 35-40 years ago and it worked great back then. You would just wind the hair around the spool and snap it shut. It was and still is a no brainer. Anyway I sent these back.

An oldie, but a goodie! These curlers are easy to use and I can even sleep in them. They have an added benefit that I didn't suspect when I bought them. My cat knocked 4 of them off my bathroom vanity and played with them for hours! I know cats will play with anything small, but this is different. The texture is perfect for him and he gets a whole new toy when I close the Spoolies because they bounce and roll differently from how they do when opened. So I bought and recommend Spoolies as a way to get curl or waves into your hair (and I have very fine, straight hair), but if you are a cat lover, they could make your furry friend happy too!
