This guitar is AMAZING! I am a brand new guitar player learning to play the right way. This guitar is very pleasing on the eye, and often gets confused for much more expensive guitar. The white on the body is just barely off white, and there were a couple of scuffs on the stomp pad (I'm sorry, still learning the technical names for things) under the strings that were actually UNDER the plastic (meaning scuffs from the factory before packaging). I highly recommend it with the Amazon add ons (Planet Waves Assorted Pearl Celluloid Guitar Picks and Musician's Gear Tubular Stand) ... comes with everything you need already except a tuner. The dvd is a little difficult to understand when you have zero concept of the guitar, but there is a program called Youscian that has given me excellent progress! I love playing, and this guitar was an excellent choice as a starter.

a bit on the heavy side.

Bought this for my husband who is a casual player. Got it in the white and have to say it is a nice guitar and package that comes with it. It sounds really nice and could be compared to a more expensive guitar to tell the truth. The amplifier is small but puts out adequate sound (not like he's performing at Madison Square Garden) and it can get loud. Very nicely made guitar and you can't beat the price.

Well....it's a really great set for a beginner or if your like me and wanting to teach a child guitar. However the guitar I recieved was broken. Made a terrible sound like a pickup was bad. Took it to guitar center they "repaired" it and when I brought it home the sound was the same, and now it made a clinking sound somewhere in the area of B or E string I couldn't figure out which. I already spent money fixing a brand new guitar and didn't feel like dumping more into it. I should have went with my gut and returned it the second I realized it was faulty before spending a penny. My own stupidity thinking if it's something simple it's easier to pay a few bucks then going through the hassle of sending it back. Now I'm sending it back and I spent money out of pocket. My loss. This is yet another example of a great company producing beautiful high quality product for generations ruining their reputation and their awesome products by shipping manufacturing to China or Indonesia etc. Purely out of greed they have destroyed what took generations to build. Literally overnight Fender went from my go-to for bass and six string guitar to never again. Sad. But as they say, caveat emptor..

Great guitar. Huge value for a good quality instrument. Sounds like a decent strat. Great little practice amp. If you need a starter to intermediate this is it. Way better quality than the bullet squires

Ive had a lot of cheap guitars in my life but I never had one that sounded this bad. I have a Fender Squire P-BASS made in China that is awesome but this guitar that's made in Indonesia is garbage.

Nice little bundle for my first electric guitar- sounds great, looks nice (ordered white), and the amp sounds great. I know its not "Rock Star" caliber, but neither am I!!! It seems like a good over-all system for a very reasonable price. Having fun "pretending" to be a rock star!!! :)
